Bear Ac When a tragedy happens , the upset along with the discomforts are tremendous. Lightning struck a tree in my yard 4/28/24, sending charge through the ground and shorted my a/c out, sunday 4/29/24 a tech came out which was awesome and found the problem, which was the nest thermostat, once all the testing done , the Tech cross wired the control bored causing it to burn up and throw the breaker, needed to order Control board so on 5/6/24 another service tech came out to install New control board Tech installed and cross wired so it fried the control board. realizing his mistake ordered a third panel and the following day returned with yet another control board, wired it correctly and now working fine. However, the charge of $406.82 for control bored that they burned up due to cross wiring and the charge 196.00 diagnostic felt a little steep especially when it was not any fault of my own . Being charged for the control bored that was burned and fried due to incompetence of the A/c Tech should not be passed on to the customer. Due to this incompetence during all the heat and humidity I did not have a working unit until 5/7/24! Please do not use Bear A/C - Heating ! You will be charged for their mistakes!y DESCRIPTION OF WORK Called because lightning struck a tree, and the furnace started making a loud buzzing sound. Upon inspection of the furnace the buzzing had died down, but it was traced to the back to an issue with the thermostat base plate giving a stray voltage enough to excite the magnet in the heater relays. While attempting the test the fan operation the board burned up and tripped the breaker. Temporarily bypassed the board to determine that the fan motor is operational without the board. Customer intends to replace the Nest thermostat, and will check on a replacement board when the supplier is open

"Although we appreciate all reviews given, sometimes it's hard to understand the thought process of all the reviewers at times. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but what if it's misguided or just wrong? Why would the same customer approve all work and pay the bill. Even gave a 5 star review in our invoicing system as well as No calls to the company to express any concerns about this matter. Bear paid for the board that was crossed wired, but the original was faulty before that was done. It's even in your review. If Bear Ac was so horrible, why not call in to the office? As a consumer, empower yourself and let the company know. Most all companies handle customer service complaints, explain your concerns and talk about your discrepancies. We're always here for you. $79 call out fee, 7 days a week. No overtime, Ever! Anything else after is approved and signed by the customer. With 30 years in the customer service business, we understand and are empathetic to your thoughts and needs. The owner said he always does what the homeowner says, no matter if he knows it is wrong or not, he said he will always do what the person wants, even if he knows it is not the right thing to do. He believes everyone makes their own choice and they should know better than to make the wrong one, think before you hire this company.

"This is far from what the conversation was and at times no matter what we advise the customer, our advice is misconstrued to fit what the individual is thinking. This particular situation was about a compressor change out on an older condenser. The customer had a Home Warranty Plan and it was advised to replace the system and not make any repairs and without regard to our professional advice and warnings, the customer and warranty company chose to replace only the failed compressor. After the repairs, sometime later, the condenser coil failed and began leaking causing the new compressor to fail yet again. The condenser coil was obsolete."
