Our car, 2011 VW Tiguan, first new car we bought since 1995 got rear ended in Galveston by a huge pick up truck with a huge grill on front. We took it to Chris and Phil's. They gave an estimate, and the man who rammed into our car was insured, so he was paying. My husband works in Sugar Land and we live in Lake Jackson Texas, so he took a Friday off, when the car was supposed to be ready to pick up. Chris and Phil's called us that morning and said they had moved our car from the repair shop garage area, behind their security fence, out to the parking lot, and it got run into while parked there. They said they were NOT responsible for damages to our car. About $2K in addition to the almost $2K they had already repaired/performed.
But that the man who hit it was insured and he would pay for repairs. Everyone I have talked to, dozens of people, say YES Chris and Phil's was responsible for damages to our car since it was in THEIR care,. THEY had the key to it, THEY Parked it there. Until we picked it up they were responsible for it, their insurance should be covering things like that, while they are in possession of our car, while repairing it, while responsible for it. But they kept insisting over and over that THEY were not responsible for cars while they were in their repair shop. They even compared it to Walmart parking lot. That is very DIFFERENT since an employee of Chris and Phil's parked our care in the lot where it got run into. We didn't park it there. And they knew we were on our way to pick up our car THAT very morning. Took a day off to go pick it up. I just wonder how often this happens, if it is a scam, to get more business. Insurance scam. Maybe it wasn't even damaged the second time, but htye turn it in for $2K in damages. If they had just been more professional, responsible, and offered to repair the car, that would have made a lot of difference. THEY parked our car out on an open lot, knowing we were on our way to pick it up. I would not trust them ever again. And did they do a good job, who knows... I have no way of knowing if it was really even run into while on their lot. They are so dishonest, I wouldn't believe a word they say.

It took much longer than I expected but I discovered that the original insurance estimate was not even close to what was actually needed. CP Body worked with the adjusters, having them come to the shop and go over every detail one step at a time. Then they had to receive all the many parts required, pull my poor truck completely apart and reassemble it with the new materiel. Anywhere in this complex job there could have been an error but so far I haven't found one....not one rattle, missing piece or scratched paint. My truck looks at least as good as the day I drove it off the sales lot....if not better. Joe...my sales contact....kept me informed throughout the process. I couldn't be more pleased.

THEY WORKED WITH THE INSURANCE AND GOT THE REPAIR DONE RIGHT NOT HOW THE INSURANCE WANTED TO DO IT.  THEY DID NOT MEET THE INITIAL COMPLETIONS DATES BUT GOT THE JOB DONE RIGHT.

I needed to have my car repaired after another car bumped into me. Chris and Phil's replaced the bumper cover and repainted the bumper area. It looks like new. The paint matches exactly. We have had other work done here and the quality of the work is always great!
