P & P Plumbing

During the extreme cold weather, a water pipe burst in our garage. We had to turn off the water, so we had no water in our house and needed a plumber quickly. We contacted several plumbers who simply put us on a list. P&P Plumbing, however, was able to come the next day. The team, headed by Jonathan, was totally professional and were quickly able to locate and repair the burst water line. In addition, they removed the original foam insulation around the pipe and installed thicker, better insulation. Finally, they billed us their standard, reasonable rate, whereas some plumbers were charging outrageous sums because of the emergency during the extreme cold spell. P&P Plumbing gets my highest recommendation and I am most appreciative of their help in a difficult situation.

I woke up to the sound of water running. There was a lake side of my house and when I looked underneath the house, it was like Niagra Falls. Called three plumbers, one didn't serve my area, one didn't crawl under houses and third was booked for two weeks. The third company referred me to P and P and they were able to come out that afternoon between 2 pm and 4 pm. The estimate was around $200 but she said it could be less depending on what he finds. It was less than what she said. Thank goodness. I told I had to work but I had a friend that would be able to meet the plumber. She said it was ok. They came out exactly when they said they would be out and gave a 30 minute ahead call to my friend. Fixed the major water leak. It was a blown out water pipe at the TEE junction. I will definitely use them again. Jonathan was very nice and professional.

I called to set an appointment and got one very quickly for a time I requested to fit my schedule. The young man arrived precisly at the appointed time and went straight to work. He had to leave to get a part but was back very quickly. He installed the part and it fixed my problem. He presented me with the bill, explained what he had done and told me the work included a 30 day warranty. The service was exceptional.

It went great, they were fast and efficient. They were able to do the job the day after I called. I think they are a little pricey for this service, but at least you know it's going to be done right the first time and quickly.

The owner of the business came (a master plumber) and gave us the quote, but told us he would not be doing the work - instead another less experienced plumber and his apprentice would be doing the job. We got 4 quotes from different plumbers, and we chose P&P because of their experience and proposed solution to our plumbing needs even though they were far more expensive than the other quotes. The two men showed up on time (about 9 AM) and began work right away. The bathroom work and kitchen sink work were very simple and didn't take long. The biggest job was the washing machine plumbing, and they didn't leave our home until about 8 PM. Overall, all of the work got done as it had been stated in our signed contract, but not without multiple small issues that took about a week and a half to resolve. Right after they left, we flushed the toilet and it began making a terrible grinding screeching noise. We turned off the water supply to it and called P&P. They sent back one of the plumbers to fix it, and it ended up that he said he fixed it, but it still screeched and grinded and we had to call him back TWO more times until it was actually finished. In the end, it still runs a little bit to this day because we gave up on fixing it because it was 10:30 at night. Another big issue was that the two plumbers refused to re-hook up our kitchen sink faucet. They stated that it was not in the contract, and after quite a bit of wheedling and complaining, they called their boss (the master plumber) and agreed to hook it up again. We thought this was a ridiculous issue - first of all, it was in our contract that they would re-hook it up, and secondly, why would they unhook it and then not put it back together? Lastly, the biggest issue was with the mess the plumbers left. They left greasy/dirty hand prints all along our walls and doorways, the blue plumber's putty they used was smeared all over our bathtub, closet (where the bathtub plumbing access is) and on our bathroom door and doorway. They also punched a hole in our bathroom closet drywall and refused to repair it. They also didn't put back the piece of flooring they took up until we asked them several times. Generally, our house was just left a mess when they left (sawdust, dirt, etc.) We attempted to resolve this with the owner, and he begrudgingly offered to have the two guys come back and clean up their mess and repair the hole in the wall. We declined (because frankly, we didn't trust them) and instead requested a $200 lowering of our bill. We were very polite, but the owner seemed grumpy about our proposal to remedy the situation. In the end, he mailed us the check, but he hung up on us during our last phone call.

The repairman showed up on time. He worked quickly and efficiently. He was very pleasant to deal with. He was able to answer all of my questions. He did a nice job cleaning up after himself.

I wanted to upgrade builder's grade dishwasher in new house, purchased new dishwasher from Best Buy & arranged to have them do installation. When dishwasher was delivered, technician told me he couldn't install as I didn't have right type of connection. I checked Angie's List & called P & P Plumbing. I also wanted an ADA hand-held shower installed in master bath & wanted to replace stainless steel 2-bowl sink in kitchen with enamel-on-cast-iron single-bowl. They scheduled appointment for next business day, plumber showed up on time. He installed dishwasher & put old one in garage. When I said that I wanted master bath shower to be able to operate with either hand-held or overhead shower, he had to go to Home Depot for a diverter. He then installed hand-held shower, making sure it was at comfortable height. As for sink replacement, my sink is an odd size & would be complicated by granite countertop. He took measurements & promised that someone would get back to me on it.

I TRIED TO FIND SOMEONE LOCAL WHO COULD DO THE JOB FOR ME THAT DAY. P & P RESPONDED QUICKLY BY SENDING SOMEONE OVER WITHIN AN HOUR. HE LIVED JUST A FEW MILES FROM ME. AFTER HE LOOKED AT IT, HE TOLD ME THEIR SUPPLIER WAS CLOSED ON THE WEEKENDS, AND THEIR COMPANY DID NOT LIKE TO USE THE LOCAL HOME IMPROVEMENT STORES, SO I COULD HAVE A NEW WATER HEATER AS EARLY AS MONDAY. I EXPLAINED THAT MY WATER HEATER WAS LEAKING INTO MY HOUSE AND I WAS NOT GOING TO WAIT. HE CALLED HIS BOSS, WHO MANAGED TO GET THE SUPPLIER TO OPEN THE SHOP. BEFORE HE LEFT, HE BORROWED MY HOSE TO TRY AND DRAIN THE WATER HEATER AND THEN SAID SOMEONE WOULD CONTACT ME WITHIN A FEW HOURS, WHEN THEY GOT THE WATER HEATER. I WAS CONTACTED WHEN THEY SAID THEY WOULD CALL, AND SHORTLY THEREAFTER, ERIC CAME OUT AND REPLACED MY WATER HEATER. WHEN HE FINISHED AND LEFT, HE TOOK MY WATER HOSE WITH HIM. I CALLED THE NEXT DAY AND ASKED FOR IT BACK, BUT NEVER RECEIVED IT.

They are great people to work with. They are easy to get a hold of, even in an emergency. He didn't even charge me anything to come out to look at my toilet.

He arrived when promised. We had many small jobs which were handled very well and quickly. The cost included both parts and labor, as he had to buy several items to fix the toilet, faucet, and shower. We were pleased with the work, the plumber and the cost.

Came within 2 hours. On time, efficient. Thought they were a bit pricey, but all plumbers are.

This company is pretty average. My general contractor said he had to redo some of the things they had done though. They still have to fix a few things for me too. A few things just had problems and were not put in the right places.

The estimate he give me over the phone was more than he charged me to replace the tank. He got here as fast as he could. He was very pleasant and did exactly as he said he would do. I called other companies that were highly advertised or where supposed to have a good reputation but they would not even give me an estimate on the phone. And waited to charge me a trip charge to give me an estimate to boot.

THE SERVICE MAN KNEW HIS BUSINESS AND REPAIRED THE LEAK IN THE PIPE VERY QUICKLY.
