Called Excel Roofing and asked for someone to come out to look at our roof because we had a leak that had caused some damage to our living room.  Clint Hughes came out today to give us an estimate.  He was able to quickly tell us what was causing the problem.  We have some sharp angles and peaks on our roof.  When our home was built 8 years ago the roofers did not install the shingles properly in a couple of areas causing the rain, dirt, leaves, etc to go underneath the shingles and then allowed the rain to come into the ceiling and walls and do damage to the drywall.  Clint told us that we did not need a new roof but gave us two options.  The first and the one he recommended was to use a silicon solution that is highly rated to reseal the shingles or 2nd to replace the problem shingles but he told us that the colors would not match our existing roof and it would not look good.  He told us that if he had enough of the silicon product with him that he would just go ahead and fix it for us.  He did have enough and climbed back up on our roof and resealed several areas.  He did not charge us a single dime to repair our roof and told us the to just remember Excel Roofing when we needed work done and to refer our friends and family.  That is a definite.  He did quick work and then came inside and told us cost saving ways to repair our drywall through our paint contractor.  It is such a blessing to have an honest individual and company to deal with.  We knew the damage was not enough to meet our deductible and that we were going to have to pay out of pocket.  He could have charged us several hundred dollars but instead would not even let us pay him even for his silicon solution.  Great Job!!!  Will definitely use them when it is replace our roof.

The owner, Brad Corbin, and his crew did a great job on a roof replacement for me.
Brad made sure he was at my home when the insurance adjuster was there and was able to point out exactly where my roof had been damaged and what the damage was. This was an important step, as initially the adjuster was hesitant about allowing the claim, but after Brad got on on the roof with him and pointed it all out, the adjuster agreed with him.
Brad's crew worked very hard and were able to remove the old roof and install the new one in one day, including having to cut the roof deck along the ridge peak to allow for proper ventilation of the new ridge venting.
The crew spread heavy tarps on all the bushes and shrubbery around the house to protect them during construction and they were also very thorough during the clean up.
As one of the other reviewers pointed out, Brad comes from a family of home builders and he has a great knowledge of construction techniques, methods and materials. When I have to deal with contractors I usually ask a lot of questions and many of the questions I already know the answers to, this allows me to gauge the contractors' true skill and knowledge. Brad easily answered every question I had.

Don't be afraid to ask questions; Brad will have the answer. With his experience, Brad helped me make selections that I'm completely happy with. For example, even though I had selected 3 paint colors, he painted them on the second story so I could really see the colors in the light. He was right...I eliminated one color because it didn't mesh well with the other two.
