Precise Handyman Services

Sammy Fahrney and Precise Handyman Services were originally referred to us by A-Tex roofing. While replacing our roof (after spring 2016 hail damage), A-Tex discovered minor interior water stained areas and subcontracted Precise Handyman Services to perform the interior repairs. Happy with their work, my wife inquired about Mr. Fahrney’s company’s ability to do additional renovation projects. This work included remodeling the master bath, two secondary bathrooms, and miscellaneous interior and exterior carpentry projects. We wanted “turnkey” project management; i.e., single oversight to plan and execute all of the work. The bathroom projects involved new floor and shower tile; wrap-around, seamless shower glass (in the master); new mirrors; and new electrical and plumbing fixtures. Carpentry included replacing some exterior fascia and rotting boards; baseboards; painting and caulking. Precise Handyman also repainted our family room, master bedroom and open foyer. Mr. Fahrney’s estimate for the work described was 17% below our previous lowest bid and promised the “turnkey” solution sought. Bringing in the necessary specialists, Mr. Fahrney’s team completed the work in a professional manner. In several instances, additional needed repairs were brought to our attention, many of which were addressed at no extra charge. Precise Handyman Services owned every aspect of the project. All furniture and household items were protected during the painting phase. In the renovation areas, demolition was performed in a neat, orderly manner (e.g., we were never without the convenience of one of our bathrooms). When occasional problems arose, Mr. Fahrney addressed them immediately at his initiative. Though available to answer questions, we were not compelled to micromanage his team’s work. Workers were courteous and on time, with Mr. Fahrney giving us advance notice of any delay. Every work day ended with adequate clean-up, and at the end of the project Mr. Fahrney voluntarily had our driveway and walks pressure-washed. Of Precise Handyman’s advertised services, we utilized carpentry, remodeling, light fixtures, pressure washing, home repair, plumbing, and painting. In every aspect, Mr. Fahrney worked with us to sequence and schedule each phase, as well as select of paint colors and fixtures. The work was well planned resulting in no significant surprises. While it was our preference to do much of the shopping for specific items, Precise Handyman accompanied us on some trips and conducted others at their own initiative in order to find the right material at the best price.
