We were on our way to Crockett, Texas pulling a 2 horse slant trailer with 2 horses onboard. We had only gone about 20 miles when the truck backfired and shut down. We could not start it again. A friend came and got the horses while I waited for a wrecker. We towed the truck to my usual repair place. They checked the radiator as I had told them we thought it could be the problem but it was not. They installed two different computers but had problems with them - one of them would not allow the truck to go over 20 mph. They finally got an unprogrammed computer, had it programmed and then checked everything out to make sure that is was working. At that point I was contacted and picked up the truck.
