Kirby Whitworth

It took a couple of days, but Kirby and his helper arrived when they said they would, did an excellent job and then cleaned up after themselves.  We were very satisfied with the work and the price.

We recently moved to Texas and bought a house.  The house was not new, and on inspection, several minor, but potentially serious, instances of wood rot were reported.  After following up on recommendations from our new neighbors, we were finally put in contact with Kirby.  He came at the appointed time to view the job and get the information needed to prepare an estimate.  There was a delay in providing us with the estimate, due to unexpected demands on Kirby's time that he could not avoid, but after a couple of weeks, he provided us with an excellent estimate (somewhat less than we expected), and we authorized the work.

We had to adjust the start date, again to accommodate unexpected demands on his time, but on the adjusted date Kirby and his helper/partner showed up at the appointed time.  (Our retired status, and the fact that Texas was in the middle of the worst drought in decades let us be somewhat casual about the period of performance!)  On the first day, they probed the areas to be repaired to confirm the amount of damage and the appropriate method of repair.  They returned the next day with the required materials, having cleared their plans and needs with us.  They made several suggestions, that we approved, to improve the quality/longevity of the repairs.  

The actual repairs took two days, since some of the work involved caulking around windows, and the material had to set before the repairs could be completed.  On the third day, the work, including painting, was completed, and the site cleaned up.

They also noticed and brought to our attention exterior signs of moisture and diagnosed a plugged and leaking A/C drain line.

They were professional, very good to work with, and we were highly satisfied with their work.
