Child Care - Center
COMMUNICATION:
Great! When we started, we received daily written reports for each child. Since then they have upgraded to a very nice electronic system that e-mails a report at the end of each day. Sometimes we will get a surprise e-mail mid-day with a cute picture of something fun our child is doing in class. Teachers are always approachable and the owner's - Butch and Maria - also go out of their way to be available.
CLASS SIZE:
Appropriately varies by age. Younger (infant) rooms have a very low teacher/child ratio which was a huge plus when we were searching for infant care. The classrooms for older children have larger ratios, but this is done in a gradual fashion as they get older.
EDUCATION:
We really like that there is a curriculum focus at Goddard. It is also well rounded, so our children are exposed to art, music and sports along with the traditional reading/writing/arithmetic. Our older child has amazed me recently with his language development putting together his own compound sentences. Classrooms have computers with educational programs and the older students even have an interactive smart board.
ACTIVITIES and COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT:
Every month there is something fun and interesting going on. Either during class hours or on weekend open houses; we have seen everything from the local fire department to a western themed weekend with pony rides, armadillos and a longhorn steer! Just recently the school put on a fun little child art auction where all proceeds went to the local children's hospital.
CLEANLINESS:
Fantastic. I will just say that our children get sick WAY less often than they did at their previous day care. In addition, if a confirmed illness is reported in one of the classrooms, the staff proactively post a note on the classroom door, so you know what is going around and what symptoms to watch for in your own little ones.
OVERALL:
I will just say this: Our youngest smiles and claps as I pull into the parking lot to drop them off. Our oldest complains sometimes on the weekends that school is closed.

Child Care - Center
They have a good program that is separate the tiny children. It is a complete separate building and they have a lot of outdoor activities. No matter what time I go pick up and it is always a different time; the children are always engaged in quality activity whether it is homework or sports. There is not much on hanging out, making trouble, yelling or watching videos...nothing like that. It is always quality play and teachers are good. I don't have any issues.
