Worst purchasing experience of my life. From the salesman, Eric Allen, to after install very displeased. First, our experience began with a consultation where I was lied to and placed in the back of the line. I signed November 16, 2017 and was told the job would be installed before year end so I could receive my federal tax credit in April. Of course Speir Innovations failed to install my system in time. I am from China and understand things happen at a different pace in different places. Good business 诚信 "business with integrity" 说到做到 "do as you say"are principals and ethics that my family and I live by for operating our business and personal relationships. If they were uncertain be honest; don't promise if you can't fulfill. On January 25th, 10 weeks later, our solar system was installed. It was later that I learned of solar "soft costs"; Alternative Solar, LLC soId me a bottom tier system at a premium that failed in month 3 of operation. Now I have a $120 solar bill and a $170 electric bill! Eric Allen of Alternative assured me this would never happen. I contacted Alternative inquiring about our "25 year warranty" to reimburse our solar bill for the one month it was not working, Alternative said they don't know and to contact Speir. I contacted Speir who said they are not responsible for manufacturing issues. My system is now up and running again after being down for just over a month. I want consumers to beware of "solar soft costs" and companies like Alternative Solar, and Speir Innovations who over promise and under deliver. We are left with a terrible feeling of remorse every time we come home and see the panels on our roof. Work directly with a Solar company, ask all necessary questions, and get everything in writing. Bad service, bad installation, still waiting for our "25 year warranty" to make reparations. Now I am really worried, my solar system has already failed in month 3 of my 240 month solar bill. No compensation, no reimbursement, and not even so much as I'm sorry. Only we don't know and we're not responsible. Thank you Speir Innovations and Alternative Solar; only you could make a technology as great as solar third world when compared to CPS Energy.
