S&S Computer Solutions

I am very impressed with S&S. The two men that run the business are really good people that focus on giving rather than taking, which is a sure recipe for success. I own a small business. Recently I needed to move offices. I had several other quotes, S&S was cheaper and the quality of work could not be beat. They showed up on time, and had excellent communication throughout the whole process. They insalled, computers, phone lines, security cameras, and Nest thermostat. There was a glitch with Nest Thermostat, Sean worked late to correct the problem without charging extra. This is the kind of business you want to handle all your IT needs.

First off, what I know about computers and Wi-Fi stuff is next to NOTHING.  I do know that we have a main house of 3500+ sq. ft. and a guest house of 1700+ sq. ft., the two buildings being about 100 ft. apart on our property.  Using only the router built into the single Time Warner TG1672G modem proved insufficient to serve both houses, of course, so I'd had Time Warner disable their modem's internal router, and we struggled along with a pair of Linksys N300 routers that were linked by an underground ethernet cable between houses.  Slo-o-o-o-w (30-68 Mbps download speed), but functional . . . till one of the routers failed.

After consulting Linksys, I purchased one of their AC1600 routers and an AC-type Wi-Fi extender, then followed the Linksys directions in making changes to my Windows 7 home network connections.  After two more lengthy phone calls to Linksys for additional instructions and several additional hours of effort, I realized that everything I'd done had merely made things worse.  The wireless "extender" actually weakened signal strength, no matter where it was located, and the software changes Linksys advised only served to garble matters beyond my comprehension.

That's when I consulted Angie's List and contacted S&S Computer Solutions.  I phoned S&S late Friday, and on Monday, Richie Keith was at my door(s), ready to make things right.  In a bare hour's time, he reset all my hardware, straightened out and simplified my Windows networking connections, set up the new AC1600 router in the main house and formed a "bridge" with the remaining N300 in the guest house, all done without the need for the speed-slowing ethernet cable!  We now have 78-98 Mbps in download speed in BOTH houses, supported by properly configured software.

S&S Computer Solutions did a masterful piece of work and --- amazingly! --- the already reasonable cost of their services ($145) was actually reduced by $95 because their expertise allowed me to return my new-but-useless wireless extender for a full refund.  Folks, for computer forensics and all things Wi-Fi, these are the genuine Go-To-Guys!

I was blown away by their understanding and commitment to evaluate and resolve any problems. They were kind enough to allow me to watch as they went about their evaluation, which indicated a failed video card and hard drive. They ran a full diagnostic to confirm this and I had the repairs completed, well below what would have cost me at BestBuy etc. The $200 subscription to the online help desk would not have been able to help me, and would have resulted in a $200 loss. These guys are true pros, customer driven and will explain what is wrong in terms you can understand. I highly recommend S&S, for your computer and network service's.

It went great, they were all about saving me money! Super nice and very professional. Explained what they did and made sure every thing was working as it should.

All went great. Took the computer to their store front. They diognosed, ordered the replacement part AFTER getting our ok to proceed. Replaced the parts, tested it and then called us to pick it up.
All as we would have expected a repair to go.

The technician arrived at the agreed time and in short order cleared the problems I was having with initial set up. Installation of the security program as it could not be installed with the information it presented.

These guys did an amazing job of getting my old computers to work again, they also backed up all the stuff I had on so i didnt loose any of the important documents or files. I could tell by listening to them that they knew what they were doing and they gave a level of comfort that the information on there would be kept private and secured. They met me on site and returned both computers to me in just two days. I was happy with the price, my sisters children were excited to have working computers and thanks to Sand S Solutions they think I am the best aunt ever! S and S Solutions made it easy for me to get ithe job done right!
