His grinder leaked hydraulic fluid all over my yard. The leak started before the first stump near the street, which indicates that the leak preceded this job. Hydraulic fluid puddled at each stump. It continued to streak and puddle across my yard, driveway, and sidewalks. I had to cover the streaks and puddles with sand to keep the fluid from being tracked into the house. There was more fluid in the street under the trailer and at the end of the trailer. The equipment leaked so much fluid that he had to add fluid, which he did at the edge of a greenbelt behind my property.
Russell was with me when I discovered the first part of the mess. It seems unlikely that he did not know of the problem prior to the job or did not discover it while doing the job.
This weekend will be devoted to disposing of contaminated soil and cleaning the hardscapes. I should have rented a big grinder and done the job myself.
UPDATE: Russell rendered the yard almost unusable until I can completely dispose of heavily contaminated soil and rehabilitate it. The hardscapes will require extensive work.
"The customer is correct. There was hydraulic fluid leaking from the machine. The issue was discovered near the end of the job once the machine start showing symptoms of not running correctly. The fluid on the trailer and in the street was after loading a leaking machine. Since the job, a mechanic has addressed the issue with the machine and it is no longer leaking. Overall the customer is correct, it did leak and we are extremely sorry that this issue occurred."
Overall, I would extremely impressed, and would recommend "Uncle Stumpy" and RemoveMyStump, LLC as the best choice for anyone in the Austin area who has stumps to be removed.

The price on this job was dependent on several factors such as: 1) being a non-profit organization, 2) easy access 3) provided help to rake in the mulch 4) the trees had been cut down for several years and were close to the surface while also being well decomposed as shown in the photos.
