Pro-Crete of Cedar Park

Charlie was a dream to work with after many disappointing experiences with contractors this year. He was extremely responsive from the beginning. He spent a significant amount of time talking over the project, taking in all the details about what we envisioned needed to be done in relation to the significant slope that caused a challenge (and this was at the initial estimate). On a second visit, he did the same thing. He started the project on the scheduled day and they started early, usually by 7 am and were actually there when they said they would be! We were rushing to get the project done before my husband went out of town, as he wanted to be around to supervise due to the challenging terrain. Charlie and his crew had everything prepped in 3 days, which included working a Sunday afternoon, ready to pour on Monday. On the day they poured, 4 trucks of concrete arrived throughout the day as Charlie and his workers kept up with the pour. They were tireless all that day and Charlie even stayed until 8 or 9 that night. They met the deadline and were completely finished in 6 days. The result is what we were hoping for, but weren't sure was possible. It was obvious that Charlie put a lot of thought into how to shape our driveway to make it work. A couple other notes, he was able to also complete a last minute sidewalk addition that was asked for during the project. He also repaired an existing patio that another contractor had damaged with a forklift and didn't charge us extra. Charlie looked exhausted after his marathon job! He remained professional and friendly the entire time. He always communicated and answered our questions. He was out there the entire time, besides a quick lunch, so his workers were never unsupervised. His crew was very considerate, looking out for our toddler when he thought one of our dogs was going to run him over. This particular gentlemen showed that concern for our family a couple times. The only negative was the number of loose screws I picked up at the end of the pad, which is where the cars will be driving up onto it. So far, I've picked up about a dozen long screws. Unlike with other contractors, we didn't feel like we needed to look over their shoulders to make sure they didn't mess up something. We were able to trust Charlie to have our best interests in mind. We would absolutely recommend him and use him for future projects.

Charlie's bid was the most competitive and contained structural elements other bidders did not. His was better by far and made me able to do more than I thought I could with my budget. Demolition of the original sidewalk was difficult and took longer than expected due to it being really thick and hard . They stuck to their guns and got it done despite the challenges and busted timeline they encountered. Charlie was patient with this newbie to concrete' questions. He has a wide ranging experience with concrete and can be trusted to do the right thing. We had our old sidewalk subside from the front porch. He had to put in road bed underlay, rebar and tied into the front porch prior to pouring new in order to insure that that would not happen again. We had a step down to our back deck that was an amalgam of concrete and wood decking that was failing. He came up with a creative and attractive solution of removing the wood and extending the concrete with added steps and sawed limestone slabs to top it off. This was a little tricky as it required combining new and old concrete into one. It really is a beautiful addition to the backyard. Feels like a piece of Roman architecture dropped in. I have to give my compliments to his team. They really worked hard and his team leader is an artist in making the idea come to life. They were good about showing up on time and leaving things clean upon completion. They worked through some extremely cold days on demo. There was some delay in pouring during a rainy period, but that is as it should be. I was out of town during the pouring and they texted me pictures of the stages of the job. Nice. The leveling of the deck is not really their thing, but they knew what needed to be done and did it well. Improved drainage of the gutter greatly. I have to say that the new sidewalks and patio additon have made our lives better. We had gotten used to the sunken sidewalk and the new one really improves access to the entry and ease of transfer from the car to the house.

Very professional, easy to get in touch with, scheduled our project within a few weeks and were on time and project cost was exactly as quoted--looks great!

Charlie and his crew did an excellent job and paid attention to details since the concrete work was tying into several other existing concrete slabs and it all had to be done relatively accurately. He was professional and showed up ready to work when he said he would. The final cost of the work was exactly what we had agree upon and there where no extra charges for things I did not agree to in advance. I would definitely hire his services again. The quality of the concrete work was very good.

My husband got Pro Crete of Cedar Parks name through another contractor recommendation. Charlie was great. It was obvious he had lots of experience. The driveway had pushed up due to tree roots from an oak tree planted way too close. The roots had also caused problems with a small portion of the sidewalk. Charlie suggested digging down next to the driveway and putting in a small wall of cement to cause a roadblock for the root system. The sections of existing cement were disposed of and the new put in. The whole process was done quickly and our tenants were able to drive on it within several days.

Charlie and his team at Pro-Crete are amazing! They bid my project almost immediately and were able to start a few weeks later. Charlie responds quickly, whether via email or phone, and I could tell he was taking care of us: we changed our stain, asked him to come back for a second meeting, asked a lot of questions, etc., and he was nothing but professional. As far as the week of install went, it was FANTASTIC! Everything he said that would be done that day--it was done. Charlie is meticulous and ensured that the shape, stain, stamp, etc., that it was all perfect. I absolutely recommend Pro-Crete.

Charlie from Pro-crete gave me an estimate on pouring an 11' x 11' pad on which to put a hot tub.  His estimate was 40`% less than the 3 other companies we contacted.  We told them to proceed and agreed on a date.  They called the day before and verified a time to arrive.  They arrived on time and started to work.  They completed the pour in a half day, left to do other work,a nd the finisher came back after a few hours and put the requested finish on the surface.  They came back 4 days later on the agreed upon date and pulled the forms and cleaned the entire site.
This has been a pleasure from beginning to end and I would recommend them to anyone without reservation.

Charlie and team did an excellent job extending our backyard patio. They were super responsive to our request for a quote and did a great job on the install.  We struggled getting timely and professional service from many other concrete companies so we were very thankfully when we discovered Pro-Crete.

Contacted 4 separate concrete providers from Angies list,, two showed but gave exorbitant cost estimates,, one contractor actually told me its wasn't worth the time or money for such a "small job" as a 40x10 walk area around the back of the pool,, one guy failed to meet his own estimate appointment (lost at Home Depot).

Charlie came out prepared, asked questions, responded to both mine and the wife's inputs and scheduled both the frame-out and fill,,, and poured the same day scheduled (the following week). They even responded MOST professionally when the wife "dynamically retasked" them for an additional retaining wall footing.

The cost matched the estimate and I couldn't be happier with the outcome (unless it was free).

The job performed was exactly what we talked about and I had envisioned- I WILL DEFINATELY USE PROCRETE AGAIN~!!!

I had a couple other estimates before which were just absurd. I had other companies just flat out lie to me. One guy showed up drunk. So by those standards, Pro-choice is a whole different league and highly recommended. And I am quite satisfied with both the quality of the work and the price. So me remaining comments are more nit picky and i would still recommend them. 
They responded promptly when I requested an appraisal, offered a very good price, and scheduled the work a few weeks out for my convenience. The only real problem was on the day they were supposed to show, they just simply forgot about it LOL. But they came the next day and as I said, I'm happy with the result.

They did a good job.  They were on time and they did what they said they would.
