MACADAM FORBES CONSTRUCTION INC

This was a very bad experience. Contractor did not perform as promised. Architectural drawings were incorrect and submitted uncorrected to city without our approval. Did not begin until after promised completion date. Used incorrect foundation fill. Left foundation unpacked. Foundation cracked in many places. Foundation unlevel and out of square. Framing out of square. Substituted substandard products for specified products in contract. Poor craftsmanship. Did not meet code at inspection. Owner Weaster verbally abused the Mrs. to the point the neighbor called to check on her, and pulled the contractor aside and told him that was not acceptable ever in our neighborhood. We should have fired him then. She remained fearful for her personal safety until we fired him about three weeks later. Weaster decided items that were in original bid weren't in the original bid and held the project hostage for more money, even though items were in original bid. Seems to be in cahoots with his subcontractor electrician as the electrician came out to bid the project and then asked for more money too. When fired, entered facility without our permission to retrieve his ladders (he owed us money) and was giving a trespassing warning from our police. Do not hire this contractor. This was an expensive nightmare. Contractor did not respond to demands for refund for work not performed.
