Hi I'm Ryan, owner of Austin Mobile Computer Repair. What I offer is customized computer repair tailored to your specific needs. I don't apply the "I got enough customers to waste" philosophy of other computer repair chains. Once your my customer I like to keep you. It works out best that way for both of us because I will always be the one to come back out to your home therefore I will always know exactly whats going on with your computer because I know its history. I benefit from your repeat business because it cost me less money in advertising in the long run. I also happen to like my job and my clients. I know most of them personally, they invite me to BBQ's and say hello when they see me in the grocery store. Its a fun job, it can be stressful at times because you usually catch people when they are at their worst, their computer is broken but when the job is complete everyone is happy and Ive made a new friend and client.

He erased the computer and re-loaded software and put in security software. My experience with him was excellent. My experience with him has great. He was fast, courteous and he did a good job at a reasonable price.

I was desperate to get some help with looking at any other possible reasons why the network would go down when this one laptop was introduced. Austin Mobility said they would come to my place of business and be able to tell within an hour if he could resolve the issue. The rate was $125 per hour. After 3+ hours ($400) there was no improvement and the diagnosis was he ran malware programs, found and deleted unwanted virus' but there were more found after the laptop crashed the network again. He said that he'd need to take my computer to clean it thoroughly and the cost would an additional $300. I said,politely, no thank you. The next week I found a PC repair guy in Pflugerville who cleaned the laptop for $50 and did not want payment until I tried the laptop at work to be sure he cleared the virus. It worked and did not crash the network.

"I just have to say that you hired me to get your network up at your business. I found that the cause was a virus on your mac while booted into windows 7. I removed the virus using malwarebytes and combofix, both well known and reputable scanners, while your mac running windows 7 is disconnected from the network everything runs fine, after I removed the viruses it ran fine for about an hour before the virus returned disabling the network connection for the entire network. In this time I scanned and cleaned 2 computers of viruses as well as optimized both computers for unnecessary startup applications and toolbars from your browsers on your and your husbands pc per your request. After all of this everything runs fine except your windows 7 on your mac, you are running low on time and tell me that the mac isn't important and that you are happy to know the cause of the problem and glad that you can do business and do state inspections. I explained to you that the best solution would to be to reload windows on the mac so that we are 100% sure that the virus is gone, you said that you would get back to me once you had time for that. That is the last that I heard from you. During our visit you seemed happy and never brought up that you though that I was charging you too much. I didn't feel like I wasted time finding the problem or implementing a solution, I was given no indication of a problem until I saw this review. I find it bizarre that you, being in a customer service position as myself would make no attempt to bring this up while we were together or to contact me afterward. I don't know if you want to help me or just intend to harm my business by posting a negative review but what I do know is that the simplest and quickest way to get any unresolved issue handled with a business is by first contacting the business that serviced you, short of that I can only assume that you mean to cause my business harm and don't care to have any issue resolved."

Pete took my call around 10:30 a.m. and arrived at 2 p.m. By 3:20 p.m he had installed my new printer and cleared up several network problems that had been bugging me for months. He also tweaked our PCs to run faster. I've had other computer techs work on my system, but Pete's by far the best of the lot. He sized up the situation quickly, worked fast, and didn't leave any loose ends (unlike some other techs I could name).

I called Ryan about mid morning and he worked me into his schedule for same day service! He went right to work and knew several ways to solve my problem. In a short time the files were safely copied onto a portable hard drive.

I specifically stated I had an issue with my Mac computer. The tech they sent was not very familiar with Mac and could not resolve my issue even after calling another tech. He did answer a quick Windows question for my husband but I didn't think it was worth the price paid.

Ryan responded to my call promptly and came out to the house the same day. He had to take the hard drive with him but brought it back the next day ready to go. While he was here he fixed a problem on another laptop in the house and offered some advice as to maintenance and future purchases. Definitely a good experience; I highly recommend this company.

Ryan was great! He came out the same day and updated laptops, printers and improved our wi-fi. He made thoughtful recommendations on home theater products, which we promptly ordered. Ryan came back after they arrived and installed everything. It works great and we're very happy with the home theater setup now! He was great with both computer repair, residential wi-fi setup and home theater setup. I would definitely recommend him!

I can be a difficult (and hard to please) customer, and was very satisfied with Austin Mobile Computer Repair. He arrived on time. He even called to see if he could arrive early. He listened to me while I described the problems with the computer. Then offered a solution and told me up front what it would cost. Didn't try to hike the price later. He got the job done well, and in good time. He even gave me some helpful hints. He was really trying to be helpful and didn't talk in language over my head.

Ryan first come to the house to fix our computer. He had it up and running in an hour on Saturday afternoon. It appeared to by fixed but unfortunately froze up again on Sunday. Ryan immediately responded to my email and scheduled an apointment for Monday afternoon. He arrived at 5:00 PM just before a huge thunderstorm struck. He diagnosed a dead mother board and suggested that he and my husband go out and buy a new computer. They were back in a short while in spite of the storm which had us without electricity for over an hour. Not a problem for Ryan! He turned on his miner's lamp and put the compter and backup battery together before the lights came back on. He had the new computer up and running by 9:00 PM. We are thrilled with Ryan's work and consider him our new go-to computer repairman. We could not have asked for a more responsive service person. Ryan was a joy to work with.

I found Austin Mobile Computer Repair on the internet after my computer, connected to my office network, would not complete a boot up. It was in a "boot loop". Ryan answered the phone when I called, he seemed informed, friendly and was able to come out within short notice to assess the problem. Ryan was able to get the computer back up and running fairly quickly but recommended replacing the computer because of the periodic errors it was still having. I had a newer, more powerful laptop but had never used it connected into my office network. Ryan helped transfer and / or re-install several of the key software programs, such as Quick Books, and AutoCad, that I needed onto the new laptop station. The new laptop had a different operating system than my office network which made it tricky but Ryan was able to make it all talk to each other. He made sure my printers and plotter would all work from the new laptop ( & operating system) which required downloading new drivers and installing them. Ryan was also able to convert my 20 year old HP plotter (with 20 year old connectors) so that it could be connected directly into my office network with a D-Link parallel printer server. Ryan was very pleasant and thorough in making sure all of the new software installations worked with all of the computers and printers on the network. He made good recommendations. I will keep his number close in the future.

It went great -- Ryan didn't waste time getting it moved and then came back and finished putting everything together again, including among other things setting up the printer and fax machine which wasn't expected at all. I was very happy with his work.

I was very pleased. Ryan is a knowledgable and pleasant person who came when I called (as soon as he completed the job he was on). He diagnosed the problem correctly, did some other things that needed doing and waited until the downloads were ok and working. Inviting a stranger into your home (especially for an older lady, which I am) can be tricky, but Ryan was perfect--respectful, professional and efficient. I would recommend him without hesitation.

I called Ryan onThursday, April 14 and described the problem. He picked up the computer a few hours later and gave me an estimate. He called me to tell me that the hard drive needed to be replaced a few hours later. He found a good price on a better hard drive and installed that one. He upgraded my software and added virus protection software. He returned the computer to me the next day. After I set up the computer, I had trouble getting a few of my programs to work. He came back by and helped me get everything running. I would recommend Ryan. He provided fast, quality service. He continued for follow up and help me until I had my old programs working and had a grasp on how to use the new software. Ryan was a pleasure to work with!
