American Tree Works

This is the second time I have hired American Tree Works and Lawn for trimming and tree removal. George always does a great job. Last time he removed some small juniper trees, cleaned up trees in the power and phone lines and trimmed an oak tree to open up a fantastic view. This year he had the major job of removing an old 50 foot tall juniper that was dying of a fungus. He safely cut down the tree, and removed all the debris. He gave my oak another trim, cleaned up more junipers and removed some brush that was invading my yard. George also does landscaping, and will plant trees and shrubs that are much more desirable. George has been doing this for many years, and always does an excellent job. He takes care to clean his tools to prevent the spread of diseases, cleans up all the debris, and he does it all safely and quickly.

I've been using George to trim trees at my rental properties around Austin over the last 15+ years as needed. He and his crew just finished a big job over the last couple of months at several of my properties again.



I always find him and his crew easy to work with. They showed up and finished on time. They also clean up very well afterwards.



Also diligent about painting the cuts on the Oaks.

They were really good. They showed up on time. I was happy with them. While he was here, I had him do some additional services that is why I paid more than the $99. I do not have anything negative to say. I think that the pricing was good. They came out the day after I called them and did the work. I would use them again.

I have used George Santaw's American Treeworks several times in the last 15 years. I live in an older neighborhood and the old American Elms have, through the years begun to suffer from dieback. It was time for another pruning job, however the limbs were not easy to get to and located near power lines. Once again, George did a fabulous job for a fair price.

George and his crew cut down a ~40ft. tree,1/3 of which had fallen on a neighbor's house. I had called a few other companies first but they were booked up and said it would be days before they could even give me an estimate, much less do the work. But George said he could do the work the same day. He quoted $550, which seemed like a good price, so I hired him. It took them about 3.5 hours and they hauled all the debris away.
I don't know for sure that the price was good becuse I didn't get competitive bids (because: it was so hard getting bids from others, it was a time-sensitive job, I didn't see how anyone could have been *that* much lower, George could do the work the same day, and I worried if I screwed around trying to get other bids that George would get booked up). Of course, if you consider that getting same-day service is worth money, then I'm sure the price was excellent.

They were very good. I had used them in the past and was satisfied then so I decided to use them again as well. They are excellent, on time, honest and cleaned up after themselves. It was a good experience. I would refer them to others.. I feel they are reasonably priced. He checked in with me about half way through the job to let me know that the estimate they had given me would end up being more than thought so I wasn't surprised at the end with the price.
