They did the job, but I'm having issues now and can't reach them on the phone. Can't get them to call me back. Turns out that the promised 10 year warranty wasn't filed properly, so now I have only a 5 year warranty. System is failing three years after install.

They did the install quickly and did a good job of it. Before I paid, Sal was extremely responsive and almost always answered my calls. After they got my money, I couldn't get him on the phone. They didn't complete the permit that they were supposed to file, and wouldn't ever respond to me to finish it up. I would have rated them very highly had they finished up the permit process. Now I'm very disappointed and wouldn't trust them again. I'd rather go for some place that would finish the job.

He was here September, 2015.  They off honored the Angie's List discount and they've got it on the side of their van, he did not mention it, I had to mention it.  They know my unit by now and they've been out here twice and I'm pretty sure I rated them with Angie's List also.  Seems like they kind of went over and beyond by sitting down and talking with me and he took the unit home so he could give it a thorough cleaning and brought it back so I feel he went above and beyond.

Our A/C went out on friday and saturday morning I started calling around for someone to come out to the house that day.  I called about 8 or 9 different company's and was told that it would either cost me double (it was the weekend) or they couldn't come until Monday or Tuesday.  I called air medic and was told that someone would be at my home in about 2 hours.  True to his word he was there and checked out my system.  He was very honest with me about the system and explained and showed everything to my husband and I.  It took them a good part of the rest of the day to get the new system in but by 8:30 saturday night we had air conditioning.  They even cleaned up all of their mess, vacuumed and even painted a portion of the area where the a/c came out of so that it would like nice.  When they were finished he took the time to explain everything they did to us and what we needed to do to keep this system running well.  The whole crew was very polite and friendly.  The owner even called me on Monday to ask how the system was running for us.  Very customer oriented and friendly.  I would definately recommend them to anyone and will definately use them in the future..

Sal and his team did a great job on this installation.  All walkways into the house were covered with blankets and plastic was installed in the closet that led into the attic to protect against and dirt/debris.
The technicians  took plenty of time and clearly explained the fancy remote controlled thermostat.  They were reasonably knowledgeable on how the thermostat worked which was needed because I originally didn't want anything complicated.
They (3 technicians) were in and out in 4 hours which was remarkable given the extent of work they had to do.
These guys are honest and very fair in price.  Will use them again in the future no doubt.

"[member name removed] It h been a year since we installed your AC , after our installation we advised you about your drain line it is connected to your master bathroom sink, We informed you to monitor everything that went into the bathroom sink and to add bleach to the primary drain line up in the attic and to follow up with the filters. When you called about the water damage , we rushed immediately to your home only to find out that there was sediment in your sink, this was the cause of your water damage, not being our fault we agreed to pay for any water damages your AC CAUSED, our drywall contractor was there with us assessing the damages, Dominik agreed to do the repairs and you even said that you would call us once the drywall was dried up, your husband told us that you were a bit emotional but that he would call us for the repairs. This episode with water has happened before we did any work, I showed [member name removed] of previous water stains in the attic floor and on the original secondary drain pan, the pan had at least two water marks. 12 months later all we get is a bad review and not given the opportunity to make repairs This is a perfect example of home owners defame good contractors by not following on simple tasks such as changing air filters ,adding bleach down the main drain and keeping grass away from ac unit outside. Overseeing the little things can impact systems performance, efficiency and like in this case water damage, since the contractor was the last person there we will be always be the ones to blame."

They got the job done. Their quote was reasonable, the work was reasonably prompt, and the overall quality was perfectly fine. When I initially contacted Sal, he came out. I believe he may have come out the same day that I talked with him, but if it was the same day, that's certainly prompt. He met my expectations and he was on time.

"Ms [removed member name] At the time the appointment we gave you a time frame a 2 hr window, our procedure is to call the home owner 30 min before we dispatch a technician to your home , when we called no one answered 5 min later we called again , still no answer so your work order was placed to the end of the day. you called our office 30 later and advised you that the technician was already in another call, that we will reroute him to your home after he finished Whe he arrived at your home the person who first made contact with the technician was your brother, our company policy is that everyone is to be introduced before stepping into the property, this must have taken place since the technician went straight to work on your system without speaking to you. That afternoon we hit a high of 103 degrees, the heat being deflected from you metal walls and the smoke from your cigarette make the conditions unbearable for our technician , being a non smoker he was gasping for oxygen. Most important he completed the work order , system is still working as of today , his weight was not a factor . We offer a service and make it possible under extreme conditions and at the end of the work order home owners only complain about how late we were or our service providers weight"

My heating unit quit heating the house.  Sal came out the day I called and got the heat working.  He did something to the circuit board.    The unit was installed when the house was new 13 years ago, so I have been expecting to have to replace it soon.  Sal recommended replacement.  Fortunately, I did not really need heating over the weekend. The new furnace was installed the next Monday.   The two young men who installed the heater were on time, very courteous, quick and left almost no mess.   I will definitely use Air Medic again.

The only sad thing is that you don't have an A+ rating.  Sal and his crew were outstanding and professional.  This is the first time in a long time that I didn't end a major transaction like this with buyer's remorse. This was the right thing to do and the company to do it with.  They actually found that the previous 30 amp system was being protected with a 50 amp circuit breaker.  They quickly remedied the situation by insuring the brand new unit was properly protected.  I did my research on these units and Sal walked me through the different types features with great patience.  The crew was meticulous and steady moving. This guys make Carrier and Angie's List look real good.  I hope to continue using Sal and Air Medic for all my Cooling and Heating needs. Thank you Sal!

Our air conditioning failed on August 13; the AC was blowing hot air. We called our residential service provider, and they sent Air Medic. On August 14, Air Medic came to our house. We were told that our evaporator coils only needed cleaning, and that this was not covered under our contract. I verified in the contract that cleaning was not covered, and that $500 was in the ballpark for cleaning evaporator coils.
Because it was August in Texas, and only my girlfriend was there, it was important to get it fixed quickly. We paid the $500 for the cleaning and $60 for the trade call fee.
It turns out that the coils were leaking and?at least following their repairs?the primary drain pan was cracked. The entire air handler unit needed replacement. Leaking coils are covered by our contract?as is a cracked primary drain pan. We learned this a month later when, using a Big Deal from AngiesList for general HVAC maintenance and diagnostics, we had another technician from a different company come out;  we were in no hurry, so we scheduled it for several days later; between when we scheduled the Big Deal and when the technician arrived, we noticed a water leak next to the HVAC unit. We let the technician know both about that and that we had a residential service contract for major repairs?all we needed were general maintenance and diagnostics.
On September 12, the Big Deal technician "found the primary drain pan cracked", and the "evaporator coil with an extreme amount of rust"; the unit was also low on R22. They advised that at the very least the coils and primary drain pan needed replacing and possibly the entire unit.
We called our residential service company again, and this time they sent out a technician from a different company; this third technician "found drain pan cracked and evaporator coil leaking freon". They replaced the air handler unit under the service contract.
We contacted Air Medic to request a refund, and told them that two independent HVAC technicians had found that a replacement was necessary. Air Medic disparaged the third company as having a poorer BBB rating then Air Medic; they ignored the second company's better-than Air Medic BBB accreditation.
When I brought this to their attention, they said that the coils were "old rusted and pitted" and it wasn't surprising they were leaking less than a month later.
When asked how this squared with their not replacing the unit instead of advising an out-of-warranty cleaning, they went back to disparaging other HVAC service companies in general. Our discussion went around and around this circle several times.
They finally decided that it was "in the best interest of our company that I hand this matter over to our legal department" and that's when discussion ended.

"On Aug 13, we get a work order from ORHP #50823961 SYMPTOMS NOT COOLING TO DESIRE TEMPERATURE, LOW AIRFLOW FROM VENTS. LET ME SHOW YOU WHAT YOUR EVAPORATOR LOOKED LIKE ANY COMPANY LOOKING AT THIS CAN TELL YOU THAT YOUR LACK OF AIR FLOW IS DUE TO A DIRTY COIL we showed this to [member name removed] and explained to her the effects of a DIRTY COIL , THEN WE PROCEEDED TO CLEAN THE COIL If our technicians did in fact cracked this pan by accident , we would had replaced it at no cost, If we would have noticed your system low on refrigerant , we would have made a claim with ORHP On Sept 7TH invoice #2000 we get a call from [member name removed] stating that your ac in not coming on , Upon our arrival she explains to us that we were just there a few day earlier and that the system is not cooling. We set the t stat to cooling at 65 degrees, and headed outside only to find the condenser not coming on we took the panel off and found the contactor energized but no power going across the points, the relay had pitted points and full of ants, We advised [member name removed] of our findings and advised her that this part was not allowing the condenser to come on ,not related to the previous work done, we did not have the part on the van so we located the closest tech to retrieve the part, [member name removed] agreed to the repairs and paid us for our services , we checked the Freon levels and checked temp coming out of the vents , no signs of system being low on refrigerant , or any water build up on the floor or closet, and nothing was mentioned about the system not performing well. 7 days later Efficient shows up on a water leak problem, nothing regarding not cooling or lack of airflow, WATER LEAK, 1. A COMPANY with good work ethics will take pictures and show where the problem areas need addressing a. no one saw the crack its just documented , invoice does not even mention the location of the crack b. rust does not mean you have a freon leak c.Arrow is just going with what ORHP is stating , STATEMENT directly from the home owner and from Efficient d. Arrow never performed a leak search or try to locate the crack e. Arrow did not documented any test why , they are using Efficient findings 2. a company charges for all the labor involved and or material i.e. leak search, freon ,sealants 3. with market prices on freon , no company in their right mind will not charge for freon , 1lb min 89.00 4. IF Efficient was not going to make the repairs , why write up a full estimate Our invoices states 30 days labor warranty, we were notified almost 9 weeks after our initial contact Its been to long , by having other companies working on your system it automatically voids your warranty because now we dont know who did what."

I purchased the deal hoping to resolve sqeeking noise coming from blower fan. It was unresolved. The young novice technician could not discover what was causing the noise. I know he was a Novice not just because of his youth but he had to call the owner several times to get information. He was friendly and polite but I never felt he was experienced enough to properly diagnose if any problem existed in the blower unit.

We had central air and heat installed in an old garage apartment that previously just had window units.  We had a great experience with AirMedic.  Sal's team was responsive, quick to get the work done and so far the quality has been great.  Sal was easy to get a hold of and to answer any questions.  The price was also very reasonable.  I would highly recommend them.

Sal Pantoja and his assistant, Robert, arrived at my home within an hour of my call for service. He was professional, knowledgeable and courteous. My air conditioning was back on within a few hours. Oh Happy Day!
Sal even accepted an Angies List coupon for 10% off his services.
I will definitely use Air Medic again for any air conditioning or heating problems.

I came home from work and the AC did not work.  I feared the worst.  I called Sal at Air Medic AC & Heating the next morning, and he said that he would be at my house between noon and two.  He arrived shortly after noon, which was a relief in and of itself because the following day was the beginning of a holiday weekend, and I had no idea how much time would be needed to remedy the problem.  I also had a project deadline at work that day so was hoping to be able to return to work.  Sal diagnosed the problem quickly, gave me the cost of repair, and told me that it would take about twenty minutes to fix!  He also asked if I would actually like to see the damaged wire before he fixed it which I really appreciated. I was also very relieved by the price which seemed extremely reasonable to get my AC back.   After he finished the work, I told Sal that I had found him on Angie's List but could not print the coupon for the discount for him, and he gave me the %10 discount anyway.  I was able to return to work in plenty of time to meet my project deadline.  I liked Sal's straightforward manner and certainly the outcome and would call him again with no hesitation.
