"[Member Name Removed] its home owners like you that keeps up motivated to do what we do thank you fpr your feed back"
The technicians took plenty of time and clearly explained the fancy remote controlled thermostat. They were reasonably knowledgeable on how the thermostat worked which was needed because I originally didn't want anything complicated.
They (3 technicians) were in and out in 4 hours which was remarkable given the extent of work they had to do.
These guys are honest and very fair in price. Will use them again in the future no doubt.
"[member name removed] It h been a year since we installed your AC , after our installation we advised you about your drain line it is connected to your master bathroom sink, We informed you to monitor everything that went into the bathroom sink and to add bleach to the primary drain line up in the attic and to follow up with the filters. When you called about the water damage , we rushed immediately to your home only to find out that there was sediment in your sink, this was the cause of your water damage, not being our fault we agreed to pay for any water damages your AC CAUSED, our drywall contractor was there with us assessing the damages, Dominik agreed to do the repairs and you even said that you would call us once the drywall was dried up, your husband told us that you were a bit emotional but that he would call us for the repairs. This episode with water has happened before we did any work, I showed [member name removed] of previous water stains in the attic floor and on the original secondary drain pan, the pan had at least two water marks. 12 months later all we get is a bad review and not given the opportunity to make repairs This is a perfect example of home owners defame good contractors by not following on simple tasks such as changing air filters ,adding bleach down the main drain and keeping grass away from ac unit outside. Overseeing the little things can impact systems performance, efficiency and like in this case water damage, since the contractor was the last person there we will be always be the ones to blame."
"Ms [removed member name] At the time the appointment we gave you a time frame a 2 hr window, our procedure is to call the home owner 30 min before we dispatch a technician to your home , when we called no one answered 5 min later we called again , still no answer so your work order was placed to the end of the day. you called our office 30 later and advised you that the technician was already in another call, that we will reroute him to your home after he finished Whe he arrived at your home the person who first made contact with the technician was your brother, our company policy is that everyone is to be introduced before stepping into the property, this must have taken place since the technician went straight to work on your system without speaking to you. That afternoon we hit a high of 103 degrees, the heat being deflected from you metal walls and the smoke from your cigarette make the conditions unbearable for our technician , being a non smoker he was gasping for oxygen. Most important he completed the work order , system is still working as of today , his weight was not a factor . We offer a service and make it possible under extreme conditions and at the end of the work order home owners only complain about how late we were or our service providers weight"

"[member name removed] , it was a pleasure doing business"
Because it was August in Texas, and only my girlfriend was there, it was important to get it fixed quickly. We paid the $500 for the cleaning and $60 for the trade call fee.
It turns out that the coils were leaking and?at least following their repairs?the primary drain pan was cracked. The entire air handler unit needed replacement. Leaking coils are covered by our contract?as is a cracked primary drain pan. We learned this a month later when, using a Big Deal from AngiesList for general HVAC maintenance and diagnostics, we had another technician from a different company come out; we were in no hurry, so we scheduled it for several days later; between when we scheduled the Big Deal and when the technician arrived, we noticed a water leak next to the HVAC unit. We let the technician know both about that and that we had a residential service contract for major repairs?all we needed were general maintenance and diagnostics.
On September 12, the Big Deal technician "found the primary drain pan cracked", and the "evaporator coil with an extreme amount of rust"; the unit was also low on R22. They advised that at the very least the coils and primary drain pan needed replacing and possibly the entire unit.
We called our residential service company again, and this time they sent out a technician from a different company; this third technician "found drain pan cracked and evaporator coil leaking freon". They replaced the air handler unit under the service contract.
We contacted Air Medic to request a refund, and told them that two independent HVAC technicians had found that a replacement was necessary. Air Medic disparaged the third company as having a poorer BBB rating then Air Medic; they ignored the second company's better-than Air Medic BBB accreditation.
When I brought this to their attention, they said that the coils were "old rusted and pitted" and it wasn't surprising they were leaking less than a month later.
When asked how this squared with their not replacing the unit instead of advising an out-of-warranty cleaning, they went back to disparaging other HVAC service companies in general. Our discussion went around and around this circle several times.
They finally decided that it was "in the best interest of our company that I hand this matter over to our legal department" and that's when discussion ended.
"On Aug 13, we get a work order from ORHP #50823961 SYMPTOMS NOT COOLING TO DESIRE TEMPERATURE, LOW AIRFLOW FROM VENTS. LET ME SHOW YOU WHAT YOUR EVAPORATOR LOOKED LIKE ANY COMPANY LOOKING AT THIS CAN TELL YOU THAT YOUR LACK OF AIR FLOW IS DUE TO A DIRTY COIL we showed this to [member name removed] and explained to her the effects of a DIRTY COIL , THEN WE PROCEEDED TO CLEAN THE COIL If our technicians did in fact cracked this pan by accident , we would had replaced it at no cost, If we would have noticed your system low on refrigerant , we would have made a claim with ORHP On Sept 7TH invoice #2000 we get a call from [member name removed] stating that your ac in not coming on , Upon our arrival she explains to us that we were just there a few day earlier and that the system is not cooling. We set the t stat to cooling at 65 degrees, and headed outside only to find the condenser not coming on we took the panel off and found the contactor energized but no power going across the points, the relay had pitted points and full of ants, We advised [member name removed] of our findings and advised her that this part was not allowing the condenser to come on ,not related to the previous work done, we did not have the part on the van so we located the closest tech to retrieve the part, [member name removed] agreed to the repairs and paid us for our services , we checked the Freon levels and checked temp coming out of the vents , no signs of system being low on refrigerant , or any water build up on the floor or closet, and nothing was mentioned about the system not performing well. 7 days later Efficient shows up on a water leak problem, nothing regarding not cooling or lack of airflow, WATER LEAK, 1. A COMPANY with good work ethics will take pictures and show where the problem areas need addressing a. no one saw the crack its just documented , invoice does not even mention the location of the crack b. rust does not mean you have a freon leak c.Arrow is just going with what ORHP is stating , STATEMENT directly from the home owner and from Efficient d. Arrow never performed a leak search or try to locate the crack e. Arrow did not documented any test why , they are using Efficient findings 2. a company charges for all the labor involved and or material i.e. leak search, freon ,sealants 3. with market prices on freon , no company in their right mind will not charge for freon , 1lb min 89.00 4. IF Efficient was not going to make the repairs , why write up a full estimate Our invoices states 30 days labor warranty, we were notified almost 9 weeks after our initial contact Its been to long , by having other companies working on your system it automatically voids your warranty because now we dont know who did what."
"[Member name removed], We appreciate your business and thank you for your kind words. We have spoken to our Carrier representative regarding the issue we had with your communicating unit and they have reassured us that this is a rare issue which will not present any problems for any of our future customers. We are thankful for our customers such as you who allow us the patience needed to rectify the problem. If we may be of any service to you in the future please do not hesitate to let us know. Best regards, Air Medic AC & Heating."
