When I called to ask about my bill we ended up in a heated argument, resulting in them threatening to send me to collections over 50.00... They advertise service calls for 75.00, but they do not tell you that this price is only good for them to be at your place for 30 minutes. They also said they’d be there by 8:30 am, and I was the first stop of the morning. Their tech was 2 hours late, and they never seemed to know where he was. I had to continue to call and ask when he would show up, they never returned my calls. Their excuse for his tardiness was he didn’t have cell phone service to return their call, which isn’t likely these days. Their tech being late resulted in me telling them to cancel the appointment because I didn’t have anyone to be onsite for the inspection. They sent the tech over anyway, where he was able to let himself in, and he took TWO HOURS to perform a simple inspection. Can I confirm that he was there and it took this long? No, because their employee couldn’t show up on time for my representative to be there. However, they suddenly mentioned that the truck has GPS and it was there for 2 hours, hence the extra charge. The description of the work he performed was minimal, but they swore they only give “great service” and that’s why it takes so long. I realized I was getting nowhere by arguing with them, and sent them a check for their TERRIBLE service. Worst part about all of this, my heater doesn’t work. If their tech performed his inspection correctly, he should’ve found that since it’s part of making sure the system operates properly. My new contractor drove out of San Antonio on a Sunday to inspect my system for 75.00. I have a restriction in my system, and a couple of other minor things wrong with it. The restriction keeping the heater from working was found in 10 minutes, but Zinsmeyer’s tech never noticed it in the 2 hours he was here?! Sure is funny how that works. Never again.

They checked if the A/C unit was covered under warranty and it was!  That saved us ~$800.  Mr Ybarra was punctual, professional and efficient.  I have found my A/C guys I will use from now on.

We were very satisfied with Zinsmeyer's service package. We paid $150 a visit for service. The workers were always prompt. The office manager, Marsha, is a lovely person, very friendly and helpful. We never had a major problem with our unit, other than the blower motor replacement, and it was time for the unit to need that replacement. Since I moved to an apartment, I won't be able to use the company. However, I would recommend Zinsmeyer to anyone looking for a heating/air-conditioning service company. They do residential service in San Antonio, not just the Castroville area.
