Express Concrete Contractors

Terrible, and it's not over. I paid the contractor, Bill Holloway Enterprises, the total amount for the work, but he did not pay the sub-tracted concrete company and they placed a lien on my house. I have a contract with Bill and he had a bid from Express Concrete covering the sidewalks and driveway. They wanted extra money for the sidewalks and Bill asked me for it. I told him I had paid the full amount of the contract and the sidewalks were included. Bill says he is out of money and will not pay the difference so I am suing him for this and some other poor workmanship on my home. While building the driveway the company destroyed my front yard and plants. They had the bobcat up against a very large agave in bloom, broke many leaves. Holloway Enterprises had already damaged the other side of the plant and it died. There is gravel all over my yard and when I was digging to do some planting, there was concrete about 4 inches under the surface of the bed. I had to use a sledge hammer to get it out. The yard is no longer level because they left piles of dirt. They took down part of my wooden and did not repair it. They left a piece of plywood leaned against my porch to hide a 3 foot hole they created. The driveway is 2 inches about my back yard which makes it difficult to maneuver my wheel barrow and garden carts. There is already a crack covering the entire width of the driveway and several other cracks in various places. When Bill didn't pay them, a man showed up on my porch demanding I pay him and tried to give me the bill. I told him I had already paid Bill but he said he could not reach Bill so I needed to pay or he would place a lien on my property. A month later, I received a notice of a lien. I don't how he convinced someone to place the lien since I paid in full, but, after asking Bill several time on the phone and in person to complete payment, which he won't do, I have to hire a lawyer to get the lien removed.
