the service was awesome. Gary picked up the part on his way to the house. He completed the entire service in 30 minutes. He changed the lamp on the TV and even dusted the inside of same.

Called on. Sunday morning -- the phone was answered promptly even though it was off normal business hours. Mr. Warner said he could be there by noon. Came exactly on time - actually 2 minutes early.. Excellent! He knew exactly what the problem was after a few minutes description Came prepared with the parts, soldering equipment, and replaced the parts in less then 30 minutes. Showed me the defective parts Charged exactly the amount quoted --- well, okay 13 cents more... Professional, prompt, and experts in tv repairs. Would highly recommend and definitely use again!

I selected York TV because on Angie's List it has an A rating with over 60 reviews. Gary was great. He knew exactly how to fix the problem we were having. There's no way I could have done the job myself. As an added bonus he cleaned the projection lens (HD rear projection TV) and adjusted the convergence to get the colors set right. The picture looks better than it has in ages. Gary was very professional. He removed his shoes when he got inside. He did the soldering using a towel to catch any debris. Tech was punctual, professional and through. They pulled the back off my TV and determined the repair would cost more than the TV...saving me a lot of money on an unnecessary repair. The TV began to work as normal after the tech left, but the initial intermittent problem would occur every now and then, just as the tech explained to me. I ended up purchasing a new TV and am very happy that my only expense on the old TV was approx. $44 to check it out.

He helped me find the missing color and restore full spectrum to the image.

He quickly identified the cause and informed us that it would not be economical to repair. He recommended contacting the manufacturer and also recommended brands of televisions less likely to require repairs. As he arrived 45 minutes after our appointment time, he didn't charge for the visit.

Our TV went black on a Sunday. I pulled up Angie's List and found York TV & Video Service. I called the number and got a voice mail. I left a message and received a call back on Monday about 9:00 AM. He said he could be out at noon. The repairman was on time and got right to work. Within 15 minuets he had the problem dignoised and the cost for the repair. It was very reasonable. The repairs took about an hour. Our entire experence was amazing. I am so please with York TV and Video Service and Angie's List.

My Plasma TV needed repair so after reading reviews on Angie's list I decided to call York TV. I explained the problem over the phone to Gary who then scheduled an appointment to come out later the same day. Gary is a very professional and experienced repairman. He diagnosed the problem quickly and gave me an estimate to replace one of the main circuit boards in the TV. The part was ordered and the TV was back in service 3 days later. Not a cheap repair but much cheaper than replacing the entire TV. I highly recommend York TV for anyone needing service or TV repair.

Gary responded the morning that I called him. He replaced the bulb and then checked the electronic connections within the TV to ensure that everything was working correctly. He found a loose connection that would have created problems down the road.

Gary was prompt, friendly and professional. i appreciated his honest assessment, even though i have not yet decided it i will have him replace the board or gett a new TV. he also told me that some of the parts installed (power supply, one other) were actually dated later than the production date in the TV cabinet - which meant that early in its life, it had been returned to the manufacturer, who had replaced at least the power supply and then reshipped to Best Buy as new - i bought it in the factory box, labeled as new, not as a factory rehab- and i paid full price.

Outstanding service - very impressed. We called on late Sat. morning, an hour before closing time, to set up an appointment to repair an unusual brand of big screen TV after a major power surge (that also killed 3 Verizon FIOS hardware units - yikes). He asked the model number and we described the symptoms. He did research and called us back within 15 min. with impressively detailed information. There were 3 possible hardware failures, all with expensive replacement parts, and he gave us the price for each possibility and his recommendations. He also told us the frequency of repair and diagnostic challenges of our TV brand, both of which crediblly fit our own research and experience. If we chose to repair, he was available on Monday, the next business day -- excellent responsiveness. We were ready to make an appointment. Then the amazing part: He had other customers with a similar problem whose TVs were restored by a special reset procedure. He talked us through it step-by step, and it worked! Our TV now works great, and he refused to take any payment for his time and expertise, which frankly he deserved. Wow, mind blown. This guy clearly has extensive technical expertise, even on obscure TV models, and good judgment. He also goes way above and beyond to provide outstanding service. Highest recommendation.

This company is excellent. They make house calls and came when it was most convenient for me. He knew exactly what was wrong and had the part with him buy the explanation I gave him over the phone. It took him about 45min to repair the problem and cleaned up afterward. I highly recommend this company and would use them again.

He had a good idea of what was causing it from my discussions on the phone, but researched just to make sure. He also gave me an estimate of how much it would cost to fix it. When he came to fix it, he was on-time, the problem was indeed as he had thought, he had all of the parts needed to fix it and got it done within 30 mins. He explained everything to me regarding what was wrong, how he fixed it and since then, it has been working like new. He was very professional, he cleaned up after himself, and the bill was very close to what he quoted. I'm very thankful to him for his honesty and professionalism.

Our TV went out suddenly and attempts to trouble shoot the problem failed. I went to Angie's List to find a repair person after Best Buy said they only work on what the sell and warrant. Called York on a weekend and got through. Scheduled service call on Monday. Came and repaired promptly. TV works fine after computer board replaced. Fair price, prompt service. Not the warmest guy we've ever encountered, but proficient and efficient. Would call again.

Great experience. Called in morning. I was quoted a price over the phone for LED replacement and labor. Tech was on-site early in the afternoon. It was $20 extra for capacitor replacement that was found when cleaning and servicing the TV. Very nice, professional, speedy service.

We have an LG HD tv that would not power on. My wife contacted Gary and the 1st thing Gary asked for was the make and model of the tv. He wanted to research for known problems before looking at it. Gary arrived at our house on time and made a very quick diagnoses of the problem. (burned out chip on the circuit board. Gary ordered the part at that time. (he had discovered in his research that the chip itself could be replaced instead of the entire circuit board, saving both time and money.) When the part arrived, Gary came back to our house at the pre-arranged time and replaced the chip in less than an hour. The TV now works good as new. Please note that Gary makes house calls, saving you the time and hassle of hauling your TV back and forth, the to mention the increased possiblilty of causing more damage while transporting the tv.

went great overall because of lamp replacement cost's, gary recommended I not spend the 12 or so hundred dollars for a replacement lamp on a 5 0r 6 year old tv,I decided to replace the tv which I did and am very happy with my new one.nice to find a guy who does't try to push you into a big repair bill

Called on Wednesday, he came out on Thrusday morning. replaced bulb in TV. Checked TV adjusted a few things to have it working correctly. Excellent service and great price. Highly recommend 5*****'s

They came out, replaces some parts and now it's working fine. Would definitely recommend them and use them again.
