He couldn't fix it but he had a good attitude and was professional.

Told them my problem when I called them to set up a service call and was given information for a simple fix at no cost. Very pleasant, knowledgeable people.

Our place was struck by lightning which knocked out our tv, among other things. The repairman diagnosed our tv and told us that it wasn't worth trying to repair. He was very timely, affordable, and helpful. I would highly recommend this company.

.I called three times and finally reached Gary. He told me he could not get parts for Vizio tvs. I told him my tv was only 2 years old. He said I should buy a Japanese brand because they could be repaired. I was about to throw this $1700 tv out , but instead checked with another repair service who told me it could be fixed and parts for Vizio were readily available. I am relieved to find someone willing to repair, but won't be using York anytime in the future.

He took time to explain it, and recommended it would not be worth the cost to repair given the relatively low cost for a new 32" set. He was professional and courteous, and did not try to sell me expensive repairs that would cost more than the TV. I appreciated his approach and the knowledge he shared.

I described the problems affecting my TV over the phone, and the technician knew exactly what the problem was. He knew exactly what part was broken and exactly how much it was going to cost. He advised me to just buy a new TV because the cost of repairing it was about the same as a new TV of the same make/model/size. So, I didn't end up "using" this company, but the information they provided was honest and useful, and they did not try to come look at the TV or charge me anything.

Gary with York TV repaired a 55" Samsung LED TV that had been damaged by lightening. I called Gary on Thursday and he was able to make it out to my home the next day. He was early but called first to make sure I was OK if he arrived before the scheduled appointment, which I greatly appreciated. He quickly evaluated the damage and explained that he knew of at least one part that needed to be replaced and explained that there could be additional damage that he couldn't evaluate with a visual inspection. He provided me with the cost to repair that one item and asked if I wanted him to proceed. I did and luckily that did the trick. No additional issues were found and he was able to successfully repair the TV for less than $100! This was wonderful news to me since this TV was only a year old and cost $1200 when I purchased it. The in-home repair service is extremely convenient and well worth the price. I highly recommend Gary and York TV!!!

The provider was very punctual, and took care to make sure and satisfy all of our questions. The provider was able to quickly identify the issue, communicate it and come up with a plan to repair. Very straightforward and easy.

I called on Thursday at 5:00pm. Gary scheduled service for the next morning at 8:30am. He arrived early and quickly diagnosed that the problem was a defective connecting cable. He fixed the problem, and went the extra mile to make sure the problem wouldn't recur. He could have easily oversold me on the need to replace other parts, but fixed the problem for a mere $120. Thanks!

Great. Very polite and careful. Knew all the little things that could happen with my particular TV and the quirks with removing the wall mount.

Gary was on time, which is always a plus. He is friendly and knowledgeable. He worked quickly and efficiently. The cost was less than quoted on the phone, which was a nice surprise. Would call him again.

Wonderful!! We thought for sure that we were going to have to just replace our TV. I chose him based on the reviews that were listed on Angie's List and was very impressed with the service that I received. He came out and was very professional and thorough and fixed one thing and it's worked great ever since.

My 2011 LG plasma TV had been having intermittent problems. The TV would not turn on, but would just make a clicking noise. After unplugging for several days, the TV might come back on, but would turn off after 15-20 mins. I removed the TV from the wall, and scheduled the appointment a couple of days later. During the evaluation, the issue could not be recreated. He reviewed common issues with this specific plasma, but really nothing could be associated with my intermittent problems. The TV is currently working. The second TV he assessed was 9 years old with prior work from an unknown technician. He was really honest and simply said I could chase the problem by replacing expensive parts, or just move on. He ended up just declining to do any work on it because of his assessment. I appreciate the honesty. The owner of this company who performs the work seems honest, reliable, and the service is outstanding. I would recommend and will call again if I need a repair.

My TV bit the dust after a home inspection while I was selling my place. I thought it was just money down the drain. Instead, my TV was repaired quickly and cheaply and has worked beautifully ever since. You really ought to try getting a TV repaired before trashing it and this is the guy to call.

Everything went as planned!

My old TV was wavering between color and black and white, so I called York and talked to Gary. He said repair could be quite expensive (more than a new TV), but suggested we rule out problems with cable set-top box. The provider exchanged the box, and now we have a perfect picture...cost free.

Called the morning after a Christmas party accident that damaged my Sony TV's screen. Got through quickly and after describing what happened was told that Sony repair to a screen would likely be more than a new TV (due to parts pricing by Sony). Recommended I just replace it instead. I appreciated the willingness to talk and straight forward answer. No "we'll have to send someone out to take a look" - just an honest assessment that served us both. Will definitely call York again or recommend them for TV problems.

Great service. Person was punctual, polite, professional, very well experienced, honest. Job was done fast. I found this company's website by Googling but now that I realize he is also part of Angie's list, I am happy to serve as a good reference for this company's services.

5 1/2 year old LG TV was taking several minutes to warm up and get a picture. I checked info and it sounded like a power board issue. Called York TV. Gary returned my call within minutes, agreed with my assessment, and made an appointment for 2:30. He showed up ten minutes early, did the work, and made sure everything was working correctly. The estimate he gave me on the phone was "about $130." Total bill was $129.90. I'll certainly use him in the future if needed, and recommend him to everyone.
