Paul walked us completely through report

Paul Wood Inspection is a family operation -- he performed the inspection himself and brought fresh cornbread his wife had made, which was a very nice detail. He took extensive color photos with a digital camera, stopped to discuss and review details as he worked (because of my many questions as a first-time home-buyer), was very flexible and patient when we had to wait for help from the home-seller in tracking down the home's crawl space, and in making an appointment with us on short notice. He was recommended by my real estate agent to be everything he turned out to be. I'm so very glad she turned out to be right!

I thought Paul (the owner and the only person I dealt with) was great. My initial contact with him was via email. My realtor recommended him and he had good reports on Angie's List. Paul responded promptly to my email for an estimate and it was very easy to schedule a convenient time for the inspection. I met Paul at the property about 2.5 hours after he started the inspection. He worked for about another hour and then gave me a verbal update of his findings -- including showing me any item I was asking about. He was very knowledgeable and easy to talk to about the impact / importance of any given finding. He emailed a full report, along with photos the next morning. I did have some follow-up questions and he responded to those the same day. It was a very complete and thorough inspection. The price might be high compared to some other firms, but I really think I got a great value for the price I paid. The termite inspection was provided on the state required form and handed to me before I left the property.

Paul Wood was recommended by our Realtor. He inspected 2 potential homes for us, both relatively new builds, within a week of each other. We chose him because he returned our phone call before the other inspectors did. He showed up to both houses on time. He was very thorough on site, and thorough in his written report. He is experienced and methodical. He also answered our questions both before and after the inspections with clarity. We felt he was on our side and could trust his judgment. We were very happy with our experience and would recommend Paul Wood to anyone.

The inspection was very thorough in all areas. The report was highly detailed with practical information and photographs for illustration. From start to finish, J.J.'s personal demeanor was courteous, professional, service-oriented and friendly. He was very helpful in prioritizing the areas where repair was most needed. I was very grateful with the amount of time J.J. spent to patiently respond to my many follow-up questions and educate me on practical resolutions. All in all, it was a very positive experience.

My experience with this company was fantastic. I am a first time home buyer and not very knowledgeable about home ownership. Paul Wood and JJ Petersen were both expert in their field, but also able to take the time to effectively communicate to someone who was not so knowledgeable, which is such an essential skill to have. They performed their work in an extremely professional and efficient manner, but also was very open to answering the many questions I had about the home. I learned so much from this experience that I may have graduated to the next level of knowledgeable homeowner. I highly recommend the services of both Paul and JJ.

PAUL WAS PROMPT (ACTUALLY EARLY) AND DID A THOROUGH JOB. HE DID AN EXCELLENT JOB OF VERBALLY BRIEFING ME IMMEDIATELY AFTER THE INSPECTION, AND FOLLOWED UP THE NEXT MORNING VIA EMAIL WITH A FULL WRITTEN REPORT AND NUMEROUS ACCOMPANYING PHOTOGRAPHS. THE HOUSE HAD BEEN INSPECTED THE PRIOR WEEK BY ANOTHER POTENTIAL BUYER, AND PAUL PICKED UP EVERYTHING THAT THE PRIOR INSPECTION DID, PLUS SEVERAL OTHER CRITICAL ITEMS THAT THE PRIOR INSPECTOR MISSED.
