Great! These guys are pros. The salesman debated the pros and cons of their products with me and actually sold me a type of insulation that was better AND cheaper. The installers were in and out in no time and did a very good job; the insulation is spread evenly over the entire attic and they cleaned up after themselves. My only complaint was that I had a morning appointment and they didn't show up until 2:00 PM. The real benefit to their service is the increase in the comfort of my home. This investment eliminated cold spots and the heating system barely runs; Today, it's been in the low to mid thirties all day. When I left the house at 7:00 AM the system was programmed to go from 72 to 62 degrees. The furnace has not run at all today and the temperature inside the house is still 65 degrees! I wish I would have done this years ago!

I went with this company because they seemed to really know their trade and offered a non-allergenic product that most other quotes did not offer. I'm an early riser so the salesman (BILL) said he would schedule his guys here at 7:00am and at 7:00am the truck pulled up! After showing the 2 installers the layout and attic entries to the home, they went right to work. In less than 2 hours I had the prettiest white attic on the block and was more than surprised on how consistent the depth and levelness of the insulation was throughout. No doubt these guys have been blowing insulation for awhile and I will add, they left my home spotless
I highly recommend this company to anyone needing attic insulation.
Great job Champion Insulation!

The first salesman informed me that it would an hour drive from his place to mine and he didn't want to do that.  He then said that I might want to buy a special type of ceramic heater that left the house cold but would warm me instead.  My furniture would be cold to the touch, but I would be warm.  When I asked him if he was not interested in giving me a bid, he then said he could look up my home on the internet, figure out the cost of the Green Fiber insulation, labor, plus tax, and call me back.  He did and sent me an email with the bid.

I contacted Dale Cox, the owner of the business, and explained to him what had transpired.  I also said that it would take at least two months before I could save up the money IF USI Champion received the bid.

Then I discovered via YouTube what Green Fiber looked like and decided I would prefer fiberglass insulation which can also be blown into a wall and that I would keep looking for another company.

Mr. Cox acknowledged my email and I thought that was the end of this series of emails.  I was wrong.

Tuesday evening I received a phone call from a second salesman.  I thought it was another company but it was USI Champion.  The second salesman said that they also blew in fiberglass insulation, but his phone connection wasn't good.  He also wanted me to text him my address - something I do not do.  He said he would call me right back, which he did, but he hung up on me after I repeatedly said "Hello."  I know the second salesman called me twice because his phone number is on my caller i.d.  He called first at 10:16 a.m. and then at 4:47 p.m. AFTER I had returned his phone call.

When he hung up on me at 4:47 p.m., I promptly emailed Mr. Cox about what happened.  Mr. Cox's response was that the second salesman had been told not to call me to begin with, but that is not what happened.  Instead, I received a third phone call from the second salesman Wednesday morning at 9:10 a.m., in which he states that I misunderstood him, that he was going to call me today.  Really?  Then why is his number on my caller i.d. at 4:47 p.m.???

I do not know what is going on in that office, but I do know and have the proof that the second salesman called me twice Tuesday whether he will own up to it or not.  His attempt to discredit what I said to Mr. Cox is rather irritating.    Maybe Mr. Cox should look at the call log for his employee before he jumps to the wrong conclusion.  I was telling the truth.

The installation took all day 6/5/2014.  The vaulted ceiling was filled and trimmed, the walls were filled and trimmed.  The garage ceiling was a little inconsistent in the amount of fill.  One small area was missed due to a 18" piece of bat insulation not being removed.  They foamed around it.
We called and requested that they return and fill the garage ceiling to a consistent 5.5" depth, fill the spot where the bat insulation was removed and trim the foam to the edge of the wall studs.  Champion returned and completed the punch list as requested on 6/7/2014.
We are very pleased with the results and will recommend Champion

I had several conversations with the manager discussing what I wanted to accomplish. He was very helpful and gave me the tech info I needed to make the right decision.
They arrived arrived on time and professionally prepared the room, installed the insulation and cleaned up the area before they left.
I was contacted within a week of the installation to see if I was satisfied with the work and my credit card was not charged until I was contacted after the work was done.

During the build of our home four years ago, insulation was not installed in the attic space above our master bedroom via our 3rd garage (easy miss).
We didn't know this until last week when we were trying to complete the sale of our home.
In less than a few days of talking to Champion, they came to our home with friendly staff and blew in insulation and apologized for the oversight.
Bottom line: They corrected the situation quickly; they were professional and stood behind their work. This is good business practice!
I was also impressed with my afterhours (7:30pm) email I sent requesting for a receipt and I saw a quick acknowledgment and response from Dale.
Wow, very impressed!

I was very happy with Champion.  They were quick to come by and give me an estimate for adding insulation to my entire attic and they were competitive in terms of their pricing.  They were friendly, on time, and neat in their work.

It was fine. They did the work for me about 2 weeks ago. They vacuumed the attic one day. They blowing in new installation for me on another day. Two people vacuumed and two people blew in the new installation. I found out about this company through the Angie’s List publication. They came out on the day they scheduled to come out. They were also good with communication; they also called a day before to confirm the appointment.

Arrived early, asked for assistance in locating the best place to park the truck.  They were quick and through.  We were suprised at how quickly the job was completed.  They asked us to check their work, so we could confirm that the work met our satisfaction.

The estimate and scheduling was quick and painless by phone. The team arrived on time for the appointment and were careful to protect lighting and prep the attic before blowing in the insulation. Our home was undergoing renovations in the downstairs, and Champion was great about watching out for the new floors and paint throughout the appointment. They were pros, and it seemed like they were done in no time. They even cleaned up behind themselves all the way to the front door before they left, and we've definitely noticed a difference since having the added insulation.

Response from USI Champion Insulation

"I regret that we have angered the member. Our Angie's List customers are very important to Champion Insulation. We have been serving the Angie's List Community for a number of years with great success. Champion Insulation was not contracted by the homeowner for this job, but this home was insulated through a long standing partnership with a Dallas builder. Because this home was new construction, our insulation application was inspected by a City of Dallas inspector as well as a 3rd party inspector. This insulation application passed all inspections. He is incorrect when stating that an R38 is 17 inches. An R38 in Knauf Jet Stream blowing wool is 13 inches- which is what he has said we installed. This can be verified by going to our website. Champion Insulation installed an R38 in the attic of this home. Sincerely, Dale Cox"

The estimator did not have to come to the house because the only thing he needed to know was the square footage involved which he was able to determine from the county tax assessor's records available online.  He confirmed that I agreed with the record.
The company did have to delay the work by one day which was not a problem for me.  The workmen arrived when promised, were very polite, protected the floor over which they had to walk to get under the house, cleaned up nicely and completed the job when expected.

The insulation job went well. There was a little insulation that came out of ducts inside the house which was not cleaned up, but that was minor oversight. Work done was good and salesman was knowledgeable.

The experience went very well.  They came in with a two man crew and a truck and immediately started working.  The time estimated was right on and it only took a couple of hours.  I was really glad that is was Spring, as I can't imagine what it would have been like in my attic later in the summer.

I can tell you that my gas and electric bille have decreased considerably since having this work done almost two years ago.

I recently took on the project of a down to the studs home renovation.  I had heard about Champion Insulation so I contacted them initially for insulation but whentalking with the sales rep found out they also sell replacement windows.  The sales rep was very knowledgable regarding the window manufacturers they carry and he did a great job of helping me pick a product that gave us the highest R value while still staying within our budget.  We ended up purchasing replacement windows for the entire house and hired them to insulate the house as well.
The installers were professional and did a great job.  The sales rep came out to the job site during the installation and also followed up with me after to make sure we were pleased with the work.  That follow up really impressed me.
