United Mayflower Storage & Moving Containers

Horrible experience. Company is very non-responsive and is full of excuses. I submitted an online quote on Sunday June 19. The response said "We will get back to you as soon as possible." However, after a week had gone by without a phone call, I decided to call the phone number on the emailed response. I called on Tuesday June 28 and had to leave a message. No one returned my phone call on June 28 or the morning of June 29. I then called again on Wednesday June 29 and spoke with Stephanie. When she asked what day I needed the container, I told her Saturday July 1 as indicated in the information I submitted online ten (10) days earlier. She then tells me that is not possible because they do not have enough notice. What? Not enough notice? I submitted my request back on June 19. She states that they have been slammed because of the summer and they have been experiencing turnover issues. Is that my fault? She then tells me that she will have to call her crew to see when they can get me a storage container. She ends by saying that she WILL call me back within the hour and even repeats, "within the hour." Half a day goes by without a phone call back from her. Thus, I decided to go with a competitor who had no issue getting me a storage container on the day I requested it, even with the short notice. Finally, today, on June 30, I get a call from Dan Devoe, either the owner or manager, who starts off by saying that he is calling me back because he was told I was needing a container. Duh! I told him that I went with another company and then he begins with the excuses. They are a local company and very busy. Too busy to care about returning phone calls or checking their online submissions. Thus, I recommend you avoid this company because no good will come out of it! For your information, this company goes by an alias name, SAM Store and Move. Their price was better than the competitor but if they cannot even set up what I need, what other problems will I experience? I'm not about to find out. I'll take quality service over price any day.
