Robert came to our place and measured for the door to make sure they could get a proper fit. That went fine. Installers arrived on time, were very professional and cleaned up the floor and the workspace that they used on the patio. The only downsides were that we still had dust all over the place, and they had been provided the wrong style of molding. The went to Home Depot during lunch hour to get the correct style.

Energy Shop sold to subcontractors who installed their products. Its principal is personable and highly knowledgeable. He made careful, correct measurements in taking the order. The finished doors and windows are handsome. However, the Anderson door came with a single-cylinder lock on the inside only. We expected double-cylinder locks and must now spend extra to replace the lock. The patio door was not installed exactly in the middle of the opening and had to be reset later. Replacing the windows took a week and were expertly installed. We have a call-back request to deal with two minor dents in the outside clad aluminum mullions and visibile silicon residues along some of the calk lines.

We first visited the Energy Shop's showroom and was greeted by their manager Robert Macalik. He showed us patio doors on display, explained all our options, described the installation process, and provided us with a rough estimate. As we were very impressed with Mr. Macalik and his price after checking out several other companies, we arranged for an onsite measure. Mr. Macalik was prompt, very exact in taking measurements, and discussed the installation in detail. As our previous door installation had been a complete disaster with my husband having to finish the job, we were very nervous, not about the door, but the installation. Mr. Macalik assured us that his installation personnel were long time employees and not contractors, as we had experienced with the previous door installation. The door was ordered based on the measurements. Mr. Macalik estimated when the door should be in. We were called when the door arrived, exactly in the estimated time frame. We arranged a day for the installation. His installer Jose and his helper were outstanding as well as very friendly. After removal of the old patio door, they began installation of the new door. They continued to check with my husband on any details as they progressed. They covered the working area in drop cloths and were very sensitive to the noise from the saw and also trying to get the door in as quickly as possible because of the cold temperatures. They went the extra mile in the way in which they trimmed out the exterior of the door to include a threshold which they cut with a beveled edge. They also tucked in installation around the door under the interior trim and caulked around the outside trim. The installation was perfect. We were so relieved to have installers who knew what they were doing. The door of course is quality being an Andersen product, but the Energy Shop sales and installation personnel are exceptional. If and when we decide to replaced our windows with new efficient windows, we will definitely contact the Energy Shop.
