They come out and take care of our community. We have a gated community and they take care of our gated community. I am the president of the H.O.A so they did a pretty fantastic job. Everything that they do is top notch and inexpensive. It is not outrageously expensive and they do a fantastic job, pruning, management and everything.

Sometimes when you call and they say they'll be out to do the pre-budget sometimes they they'll come out and sometimes they won't. We have found that I have to stay on top of it and I'm lucky enough to be a stay home mom and we have to make sure that every time we get billed they have actually come out. I think the reason we have stuck with them as long as we have is because we know them personally. If you go outside and specifically ask them to do something they are always wonderful about doing it and not charging you for it. They are very nice guys, very professional and they are quite detailed in everything. It's just the micro-managing that I don't care for.

I am on a yearly service program, and they come out every other week. We have been using them for closely 18 years. They are the most comparable that we have found. We don't have a very large yard and they do a good job. When it rains, I've had to call the owner to remind him to come out. They are nice guys and they do come out fast.

Not good! I would never use Tex Scape again. If the service I hired you to do and for some reason you can't do it, all I ask is a phone call so I will know what's going on. Telling me you will be here and to give me the day you are coming then not show up, no phone call, nothing, is unacceptable.

This is a follow up to a report I submitted on Jun 9, 2008. I am satisfied with the work Tex-Scape did on the day they came out to replace the sod and subsequent visits to prepare a landscape bed for planting and mowing. I also satisfied with how Tex-Scape pro-actively replaced some questionable sod that was quickly dying. However, I am not satisfied with the follow up to replace sod in other areas the sod didn't take to the soil. Tex-scape walked the yard with me the week of May 26, which was when the problem areas were identified. A commitment was made to replace them the following week. It didn't happen. I called the week of June 16 ans was told it would be fixed the following week. When that didn't happen, I emailed them the week of June 29, after no response, called the week of July 14. Tex-Scape came on July 18 and was told once again it would be fixed the following week. Two weeks later it hadn't occurred. After two months trying to get this taken care of, I'm fed up with the lack of reliability. We are very happy with the work Tex-Scape does when they come on-site to do it. Their quality is excellent. It's the reliability and communication that is poor. I had high hopes that we found a company we could partner with for several of our lawn needs. We expected to use them for weed/feed services and other periodic lawn services. Because of the reliability issue, we've decided to find another service. For this reason, I'm amending my report to lower the grades for Responsiveness (repeatedly didn't fix a problem as agreed upon) and Professionalism (lack of communication to indicate any difficulty meeting schedule commitments and the fact that a simple problem remains unfixed after two months). While I will not choose Tex-Scape for my lawn-care needs, should you do so, I recommend being very careful to establish expectations regarding communication and follow up on work performed.

I would not, however, go with his services, such as placing sod, clipping shrubs or planting flowers. His prices are higher than I found and ultimately used. Also he put down some mulch for us and it was a very, very thin layer; just in the 1/2 lot front yard flowerbeds (not around trees) and it was $110. We had to go out and buy more mulch and do it ourselves to get it looking right! We too had a good response from Ernie at first, but now, it is hard to reach him or when we do, he seems too busy or even exasperated at the call.

I contacted owner Ernie Diaz, with whom I had worked under the previous owners of Tex-Scape, by phone and email. He contacted me very promptly and gave me estimates for the work I needed. He was able to schedule a time just a few days later to perform the work. The results are stunning... our lawn and shrubs look great. The workers were prompt, meticulous in their work, and cleaned up all clippings and debris. I look forward to working with Ernie and Tex-Scape to update some landscaping and possible re-sod a portion of my front year. I don't think you can beat Tex-Scape for quality and price in the Collin County/North Dallas area.

Tex-Scape is a no hassle lawn care company. I've used individuals and smaller companies in the past and have had missed appointments, work not done, and work done properly. With Tex-Scape, at the end of the 2006 mowing year, I can say that they showed up exactly when expected every week (helped by the lack of rain), did a great job, and did a good job on the fertilizer treatments. Note that I always get a phone call notice on the treatments, since they can come at random times. In past years, when rainouts messed up the schedules, Tex-Scape always called to let me know of the reschedule time.
