+ 2 moreI had to fire them. They didn't finish the job. They failed to get the proper permits. The work they did was lousy and sub-standard. It was just ridiculous and was as bad as they come. It is pathetic how bad they are. They did not install the steam shower properly. The electric panel they put in was not sufficient. They didn't do it according to standards and it blows the circuit every time I try to use the steam shower. The floor that they put down is uneven. The icemaker they put in never worked. The corners of all the woodwork are uneven. It is absolutely pathetic and it took them for ever. They would come in and they would work for a day and then they would not show up for two more weeks. I should have got top quality for what I paid, and I paid a lot. I should have had a house that I could have been proud of, but I did not get it. I feel sorry for anybody else that hires them.
Description of Work: Southwest Interior & Design was supposed to remodel my house. They did wood work and put in a floor. They installed a steam shower with electric panel. They also put in an icemaker.

+ 0 moreOverall a bad experience, texture and painting was very well done, other workmanship was spotty at best. Organization and scheduling of work was not a strong characteristic of this company, project took months to complete. Damaged security alarm during remodel, went unresolved. Have since hired other contractors with much better price, workmanship and response.
Description of Work: Installed granite countertops, replaced electric range w/ gas range, textured and painted kitchen and living areas.

+ -1 moreI CONTACTED SOUTHWEST INTERIOR & DESIGN BASED ON AN ANGIE'S LIST RECOMMENDATION (LISTED ON ANGIE'S LIST AS SOUTHWESTERN INTERIOR DESIGN). I SCHEDULED AN APPOINTMENT WITH THE INTERIOR DESIGNER. SHE RE-SCHEDULED TWICE BEFORE ACTUALLY COMING TO MY HOUSE TO GIVE ME AN ESTIMATE. AFTER OUR APPOINTMENT, SHE TOLD ME SHE'D GET BACK TO ME THE FOLLOWING WEEK WITH THE ESTIMATE. WELL, IT'S OVER A MONTH LATER, AND IN SPITE OF MY EFFORT TO CONTACT HER, SHE HAS NOT YET RESPONDED. I WAS TREATED VERY POORLY EVEN THOUGH I WAS PREPARED TO SPEND THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS ON WOOD AND CARPET FLOORING. I AM TAKING MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE, TO A PLACE THAT UNDERSTANDS CUSTOMER SERVICE.
