Signature Plumbing Company

*IS THIS EXCELLENT CUSTOMER SERVICE?* Was just assaulted (video recorded) by a plumber (Byron) in front of my house. If you know an older gentleman, named Byron, who is a plumber, then you know who this person is. We have used this person in the past and thought his work was subpar at best. He was originally paid by my insurance company. Months to close to a year later, my wife calls him again, as we know no other plumber for this “new” leak we have, and after 7 days, in the same general area, with now newer holes in my walls (bathroom, closet, and kitchen/pantry) the problem was (prayerfully) fixed. (Or are we waiting to see if the same areas he supposedly fixed the 1st time will need repairs for a 3rd time?) So prior to him trying to fix this “new” leak, we agreed that we would pay him every payday ($500) until it’s paid in full since we could not file another claim with our insurance so quickly. We have made a few payments this far, (I have seen him drive by my house every day ( I recognize the white van and the license plate each time) 4-5 times) (I work out of my house) (Stalking?), but today he calls me 4 times and uses vulgar language over the phone telling us he demands his money now, to the point we hung up on him. 10 minutes later, he shows up to my door, knocks, with me telling him just a minute while I grab my wallet, and then knocks even harder again because I did not answer the door fast enough. As I open the wooden door, he grabs my outer screen door so fast that he pulled it off the retracting link at the bottom of the door, and begins to yell and scream at me, with the same vulgar language, demanding his money to be paid in full. My daughter hears this (my mother-in-law comes to the front as well because his screaming of vulgarities awakes her) with my daughter telling him to stop assaulting my dad and that he is being recorded, with my Ring camera catching some of it as well. As I pull out my credit card, he aggressively grabs it out of my hand, and crushes it while I’m trying to get it back from him. He then throws it back in my face when I told him to let go off my credit card and get his machine so I can pay him. I never touched him but he grabbed my shirt, kept pushing me, even somewhat spitting on me while still screaming, and once it was fully paid, I told him that you have now been paid, so please leave my property. It took several requests from both myself, my daughter, and mother-in-law for him to leave before he finally did. I told him I am going to call the police and file an assault charge for him and his actions upon me and he said he did not care. Thanks to my daughter, my mother-in-law, and my Ring camera for capturing this assault, and the other witnesses outside watching all this take place. And yes, I called the Carrollton PD, explained to them what happened, and am waiting for a police officer to arrive to take the report. Is this a person you want to use for your next plumbing job?

I woke up to a slow leaking water heater in my garage. I called a plumbing company right away, but was scheduled for the afternoon.  My appointment was delayed, and I was pushed further into the evening.  I was worried that they would not be able to make it out since snow and freezing rain were predicted, and the roads were already getting bad.  I cancelled my appointment with the other company, and scheduled an appointment with Signature Plumbing, located in my town.  They were able to come out within the hour, and shut off my water heater and drained it for the night.  He gave me and estimate, and told us that he could have it replaced in the next 2 days pending weather conditions.  We did have several inches of ice and snow that night, but as soon as it the snow began to melt the next morning, and I was just getting ready to call him, he arrived with our new water heater. He installed it, and additional items to bring it up to code.  I am really impressed with this gentleman's knowledge and customer service.  His prices were very reasonable too.

He ordered the part and it was delivered to my home the next day.  My husband installed it because it was easy.  The plumber was willing to do it but he had showed my husband how to do it.  We told him we had installed the part and the water heater worked.  We were very happy with his service.

Our hot water heater broke in in the middle of the night last week and we woke up early the next morning to a small flood in our living room.  After finding someone to come out and deal with the carpet and water damage, I left a message for Byron at Signature Plumbing at 6 in the morning, he called back within minutes, and was here at the house before 7am.  By 9am we had a new water heater, and Byron handled all facets of the install while we were dealing with the carpet folks.   Byron is absolutely awesome.  He's professional and kind, his experience and knowledge is excellent, his response time beats anyone in the business, and his prices are fair and reasonable.   His best quality though is without a doubt his integrity.



I should mention we had worked with Byron the previous summer when he repaired a gas leak outside our house.  Our gas was turned off July 3rd, and we called our usual plumbing company for assistance.   They came out that morning and estimated the price for repair came in at almost $3,000.  After thinking about our options, we decided to call someone for a second opinion and Byron was the only plumber (after 5 calls to other companies) that offered to come out at the end of the day before a holiday.   That call saved us over 2 thousand dollars and we found a plumber we can count on!  The first company wanted to dig an 18 foot long ditch to find the 'leak', but Byron was able to detect the issue without digging up the yard, thus saving us a significant amount of money and hassle.  Byron also knew what the other company had told us, he could have offered the same 'solution' and we wouldn't have know the difference.   He was aware that time was of the essence because our gas was turned off, and we were basically over a barrel.   But like I said, this guy has integrity and principles and he found the real issue and saved us time and money in doing so.  In addition to fixing the problem, he handled all the regulations involved by dealing with Atmos Gas and the City of Carrollton Inspector directly.  We were so relieved and grateful for his help, and the gas was back on in record time.



If you need a plumber for any reason in the DFW area - this is your guy - any plumbing problem big or small - he'll do right by you.

He was very thorough, timely and did a great job. One plumber came out and it took him about 15 minutes. I thought that his prices were high.

We needed to replace the toilet but that wasn't in our budget at the time. He didn't try to pressure us into something we couldn't afford

Byron is professional, well-dressed, and polite. He thoroughly explains the problem and is very willing to answer any questions. I feel like you get more of a personal touch than with one of the big plumbing companies and we will certainly use him again and are willing to refer him to any new customers. His fees seem in line with the bigger plumbing services and maybe a little less.

While at my daughter & Son-in-laws house in Plano for a labor day family gathering, we discovered a gas leak. I guess it's never a good time to have a gas leak, but especially not when all the family is headed over for for a get-together. After quickly deciding this was beyond our do-it-yourself experience, we started looking and found Signature Plumbing from an online search.
The plumber answered our call, gave us some quick tips to keep from blowing ourselves up and headed over. He was there in a little over an hour, pretty quick considering this was unplanned, last minute and an emergency (at least to us). The plumber (Byron) was professional & quick to repair the leak & get us up & running. 
We have a great plumber in Arlington where we live, but were rolling the dice since none of us had anybody we knew in Plano. It took a few calls to several plumbers before we found Byron who could come out quickly, and he did. It was nice dealing with the owner. Now, at least, the kids have a plumber in Plano.
