We were to use Robinson Construction for an IKEA kitchen demo and renovation. We did not personally pick him as he was the preferred contractor that the cabinet install company, Traemond, uses for projects. We had him initially come to our house for a review to see if our walls could come down for this major renovation. The plans were designed with Traemond and the information sent to Robinson for the next step. We waited for contact from them which never happened. Finally I had to call and speak to them. June, his office manager, said he would have to come out and do an actual estimate as that had never occurred. We had never received their general price list either which apparently we were suppose to have. The estimation was scheduled for Friday, Sept 13th at 9am. At 9:30am Scott called to say he was in the Fort Worth area for a commercial door install and it was a mistake on their part. He said he could come on Monday, Sept 16th at 9am because of the mistake. I finally received an email at 1:30 from June stating she was sorry for the mistake but Scott could not come on Monday either and he shouldn't be making his schedule himself. She then basically dismissed us as a client because of their mistake. I have never dealt with a company with so many communication problems. We will have to now find a contractor on our own to work with our kitchen renovation. Scott was nice enough in person and I would have enjoyed working with him; however, I feel we dodged a bullet with this company. If an initial estimation appointment was so difficult to schedule and keep I can't imagine a 2 week project getting done on time!
