Scheduled my service call and arrived promptly, correctly diagnosed the problem, purchased parts and completed repair the same day.

This was the second replacement system we had James and his crew install (the last one was 2 summers ago for our upstairs unit). Original systems to our house that both had compressors with failures and decided to replace everything for efficiency and to be sure we'd have no problems for a long time. James is always on time, professional and logical with troubleshooting. The work he does is excellent as he's been a master plumber for over 30 years I believe. The guys that do the install for the furnace and plenums do great work as well. I highly recommend Piper Air and Mechanical as a trustworthy HVAC company.

James arrived right on time and quickly and thoroughly determined the likely failed component on furnace, we discussed my options and we agreed to a plan for a repair that day.
Replaced the gas valve and igniter assemblies the same day to complete the repair.

I found James by doing research of other plumbing companies online. In a review of one of these companies, I found that James Piper and had come out and fixed an issue caused by the other company. I decided to call him. He has wonderful reviews online (not just on Angie's List). I have had him come out 4 times in the last year: 1) Check my heating and a/c unit after I first bought my house, 2 and 3) Do the Fall and Spring maintenance checks, and 4) Identify an issue with my A/C leaking water. For item 4, it turns out the issue had nothing to do with James work...it had to do with some plumbing work that was done on my hot water heater that affected my A/C's ability to drain its condensate properly. James fixed this issue caused by the plumber and just charged me a normal service call. I have also trusted James to enter and leave my home without me being present.
James is intelligent, efficient, honest, and extremely clean and neat. I trust him completely.

His name is James Piper and his prices are very competitive. I have a whole house special, ultraviolet air cleansing and fine filtration, super low micron unit up in my attic. He charged me $300 to get the light bulbs and the filters replaced and it costs $225 for the parts, so it was like $75 for the visit.

First let me say that we have used James Piper to maintain the AC and furnace in our houses since 1983. When he started his own company, we naturally moved our service to them. Besides regular checkups and maintenance on our units, he has replaced two systems in our house as well as the duct replacement described below. James arrived right on time and I went off to work, as no one wants to be at home in a house in June with no AC. I returned after 5 and James came by to collect payment, at which time he told me that the install went fine except when a worker put a leg through the living room ceiling! I didn't see anything -- James had to point out where it had happened,. He had called someone to come over to repair the hole and retexture it THAT DAY and it was done before I ever got home. James and his crew had covered everything as they worked and then vacuumed the whole house before he deemed the job complete. As usual, he did a great job.

We called James out for a second opinion to check on our A/C problem. (He arrived on time unlike the other company.) He was able to pinpoint our issue very quickly. He was extremely professional and explained our problem in a way that we could understand. He replaced our fan motor in a timely manner at a fraction of the cost quoted by the other company. We are very pleased and will definitely use him again. He informed us that he is also a master plumber so we will be using him for that as well.
