MosquitoNix - Dallas

The installation of our misting system was flawless. The actual system is completely hidden around and unnoticeable. We've been able to enjoy the outdoors, even while being pregnant, without worrying about mosquitoes at all. The pest control service has been amazing as well. Everyone has been incredibly professional, timely and a pleasure to work with. They're quick, efficient, no fuss service with quality products!

In the early years we had lots of issues when the unit would stop working and it would take too long to get someone out to fix it or refill it.  It got better for awhile.
This year we've had more issues than usual while paying about $170/month for servicing.  Recently we realized on November 19 that the system was again not misting.  We called on Thursday and were told that they couldn't come until Wednesday, November 25 to service it.  We said that was too long to wait so they said they would see what they could do and call back.  they didn't call back.  When we called again, they said Tuesday would be the earliest.  There have still been cases and spraying in our neighborhood for West Nile due to positive tests in November.
Yet Mosquito Nix was too busy to service our unit because they are scheduled up to install Christmas lights.  I guess they forgot what their core business is and don't care about their long term customers' safety and comfort.  They think it is more important to make a fast buck installing Christmas lights before Thanksgiving. 
We've hung on with these folks for years because we paid a good amount to get the equipment installed and don't want to have mosquitoes.  When it works, it's fine but when it doesn't, good luck getting it fixed.  The techs turn over frequently and service is inconsistent.  The last service we were told that they would place granules because it was taking them so long to get out, but they didn't.  Also, our regular timer times are often reset incorrectly and that was again the case.  They have also not left our hose and faucet in the same condition as when they came. 
We went with Mosquito Nix in the first place vs. our regular pest control because we thought a company that just did mosquito work would be better.  We didn't know that Christmas lights was their business.

The summer of 2014 I used MosquitoNix for season treatment where they come out every 2 weeks for treatment.  It worked really well and was great.  This year (2015) on Angie's list there was a "deal" from another company therefore, I decided to hire them for 3 months with a one time price.  It did not work at all.  It was a waste of my funds.  The mosquitos were always terrible and we could not go outside at all.  That company would send me a statement reporting "no mosquito activity."  That was not accurate at all.  Once that company was finished, I called MosquitoNix to come back.  What a difference after one treatment!  Highly recommend MosquitoNix for the seasonal treatments every 2 weeks. In the future, I will pass on those "deals" and stay with MosquitoNix.

The install was well done but the system itself does not do much for reducing mosquitos.  The annual maintenance is $1,000 and I do not believe I get $1,000 worth of mosquito reduction.  When I have called to discuss the issue, it took days to get a call back and the people I speak with do not seem to care very much about my issues.  I am not renewing my contract.

Great service provider and I look forward to using them in the future!

I'm on year two and I still get routinely bitten. Unless you are willing to cycle the machine about three times before you go out, it only works intermittently.
Here is an email I sent in September of last year:

We have no standing water that I know of and the area has been dry for an extended period of time. To me, this can only mean that the misting system is failing to kill mosquitoes as advertised. We have followed your advice and run the system every time we think about going out the door. Yet, within minutes, my wife, son and I are bitten several times. A complete dousing of OFF! is the about the only solution. I purchased your system to perform up to your advertised expectations and it has not. Is there anything else that can be done before we request to return the system for a refund?and quot;

Prompt response, bid and completion on time of installation.

Tech knew where to go, letting himself in into our backyard. Neither my souse or myself had to be home. Only complaint, and a minor one at that, was on a prior call, MosquitoNix came to fill the container at the start of the Spring season and check the system. The tech on that call missed one spray nozzle that was broken on the ground. I fixed it myself.

They quickly came for free estimate. installed the system soon after the estimate was performed. they were punctual and professional during installation. very friendly despite 100 degree heat. the system works fantastically. I'd do it again in a heartbeat. worth every penny.

We spend $150 s quarter. We have only had it for a month and so far everything is fine and they have been wonderful.

They have been timely. The product was designed and installed by then, and it works well. It is a franchise company. They service the system and deliver the repellant about once a quarter.
