These guys are awesome - this is the third time I have used them for AC replacement (I have two units) and general tune-up service call.  The unit did not fail, it was just operating poorly, so it was a scheduled replacement.  I wasn't even in town when they did the work - I provided access and they did all the work without anyone there.  Their prices are great, they are easy to work with, and get the job done.  They professionally fix the problem, will only advise of things that should be done and don't try to upsell you.

We have been using Mechanical Air Design for years. They are always on time, friendly and very helpful. They never try to oversell or add extra stuff to what really needs to be done. Britt and his team are fantastic!

They were excellent. They were on time. They have reasonable price. I was really happy with them.

The reps came out ran the diagnostic and determined that there wasn't anything wrong with the compressor. They determined that the electrical breaker was faulty. Replaced the breaker, added freon and at our request added a new programmable thermostat. Other company had quoted almost $8000 replacement of unit. So very glad we got a second opinion!

I've used them for years and their great. I will continue to use their services in the future.

If something goes wrong, we call them and they are right here, whether it's nights, weekends, or whatever. They are always very friendly and professional. They always give us information about how to make our systems work most efficiently. They've always done it correctly the first time.

System has been fine since. I was pleased with the service and the friendly office staff. I will use them the next time I need service.

They were wonderful. I had a compressor that had extremely high pressure. Instead of being at 300 which is the max, it was at 395. I called my home insurance company and they sent out a person from an air conditioning company. I do not know if the young man who came out was too inexperienced. He said that the blower needed to be cleaned in the furnace unit. He didn't really address why there was such high pressure. I used another air conditioning company and the guy who came out said that the high pressure line was too small and he also found some stuff clogging up the evaporator coil. He told me to keep the blower and the furnace but told me to install new evaporator coil, a new compressor, new line set as well. But I didn't want to put down the $5000 for a whole new system. I contacted Mechanical Air Design Inc and they put in more Freon to fix the problem. They said they can change the line with $400 or $500 and they sent their workers the next day. It was a tough job. My attic is very low and it has too much insulation. When they moved all the Freon back into the compressor, they were not able to do that because the valve on the compressor was broken; so they had to get out their capture machine, move all of the Freon into the capture machine. I did not realize when they were doing this that the captured Freon could not be reused, so when I got my bill, I was really surprised because they had charged for all the Freon. Instead of the bill being $500 it was $721 mainly because of the Freon. I spoke to them and they said they don't reuse the Freon and told me that they had already reduced the cost of the Freon from their normal charge. He reduced $100 from the labor, making the bill $621. They fixed the problem. They were willing to do the work instead of telling me that I needed a new system. They were responsive. They came out immediately. Two of the workers came a little late. They were willing to replace the high pressure line. I wanted to make my existing equipment run longer and not have $5000 cost upfront. I would use them again in the future.

Our air conditioning went out during the night. I called Mechanical Air Design at 7:45 a.m. and was able to describe our problem and request service with a person with the company that early hour (as opposed to leaving a voice mail or getting an answering service). My work schedule this day limited when I could come home to meet with the technician, but they said they would try to work around my schedule and would call me at work with a 30 minute lead time. They called as promised and the service man was at my home when I arrived. He had cool air blowing within fifteen minutes, checked a few more items, and did some extra leg work with Trane to see if my unit was still under warrantee (it wasn't). Although I hadn't suggested that it might be, I appreciated his iniative and attempt to save me some money. I have relied on Mechanical Air Design for about 20 years, as have several other members of my family who live in the area. I speak collectively for them when I say how impressed we have been with their service. They have always responded very promptly, even on weekends. When appropriate, they have advised against more costly repairs or upgrades and our experience has shown we've always received sound advice. I have always been very pleased with Mechanical Air Design's responsiveness and quality of work.

They had to get a new circuit board. A generic circuit board wouldn't work on this particular machine. I trust them, I feel like they are honest and I didn't not feel like they were trying to pad their deals. They did not have the circuit board that I needed and it was getting up in the day and they had to be at another job. It was a Friday and on Saturday I would have to pay time and a half for 2 people so I asked if there was anyway for them to come back that day. They did make it back that same day.

We have used this company for the past several years to service 3 AC/Heat units. They have replaced one AC unit, as well as one electronic air filter and we are preparing to have them replace a second AC unit as well as another air filter. They are professional and honest. When work does not need to be done they will let you know. They provide detailed information and do a wonderful job of explaining technical information.

I have used Mechanical Air for the past fifteen years and I will continue to use them because they do a very good job and have decent prices. They are also very professional and they return calls and work efficiently. That s why I have been loyal to this company.
