I would not recommend Lindsay's Lawn & Landscape.

Things are going better.  In the beginning, I wasn't happy with the way my yard was looking.  The cut height was too high and they weren't bagging the clippings.  I called the owner but he isn't very responsive.  I then took the time to talk to the crew foreman who actually stopped and listened to me.  Since then, they have done a much better job.  The cut height is dialed in, they are bagging the clippings and my yard looks better.  They even blow the dirt and leaves out of my garage!  I'm glad I spoke to the work crew because I was about to fire them. 

They serviced my lawn for couple of years, but I terminated them in the end of June.  I was paying $150 every month.  I had asked for a landscaping quote as I was looking to try to improve the look of my yard, but they didn't get back to me.  They cut out my sewer hoses while doing work.  They were not very careful.  I would probably not use them again in the future.

When I purchased my home in July of 2010, the previous owner was using Lindsey's to do the work.  Being new to the area, I continued with the service.  At first. I seemed fairly impressed.  Always showed up every Thursday and the yard looked good.  I then noticed the shrubs were not doing well.  I reviewed a picture of my home that we kept from the sales brochure and then compared it to the way it looked 2 years later.  I realized most if not all of the shrubs were not doing well.  I feel like I was paying $178 a month (including tax) for them to be taken care of as well as the yard cleaned up.  They did not take care of them.  Only provided minor triming a couple of times a year.

We had them remove shrubs from our backyard and two small trees from the front..  It was my understanding that this also included removal of the roots well and remediation of the beds. They came out and removed the shrubs and trees as requested.  It appeared they had worked on the beds in the back.  There was a question about the beds in the front.  I was told they would talk with the owner and return.  No one ever came back.  We I went to plant new plants in the back, it become obvious that the roots were never removed.

We discussed changing out the landscaping with Lindsey's.  They offered a design service for $500.  My wife met with Lindsey's to discuss what she wanted.  After a couple of weeks, a design showed up that was not what she had asked for.  When she asked to have it redone.  They refused to do anymore work on it.  We paid one half on the fee and terminated their service.

I also noticed the crew that was doning the work in 2010 was not the same as the crew doing the work in 2011.  Excessive turnover may have hurt service quality.  I do not believe that they were doing enough follow up on the work being done.  They also provide service to the subdivision.  Keeping up entrances and common areas.  They do not look as good as they used to either.

I have used Lindsey's Lawn & Landscape over the years since they first went into business approximately 12 years ago.  I have always been able to speak directly with the owner and have never had anything but a great experience with them.  Their pricing is more than fair for the extensive quality service that they provide.  You can certainly find a lawn service for less however you won't find one for less or even the same price that provides the same comprehensive service with the dependability, quality and owner attentiveness that Lindsey's provides.  At one point I sold my house and didn't have any need for their services for 3 years.  When I recently moved back into a home in the area I contacted them immediately and they were on site the same week.  In that 3 year gap, they had not skipped a beat in the quality of service and the owner was right there remembering the specific preferences I had had in the past!  They are expert in providing consulting on anything from landscape to irrigation to basic lawn care and can provide any of those services at whatever level you choose.  They have always worked with me within my budget and I have never experience any high pressure sales from them.  Rarely do you find the continuity, dependability, professionalism and good honest business ethic that you will find with this company.  I recommend Lindsey's Lawn & Landscape without hesitation.

I've had Lindsey's Lawn & Landscape taking care of my lawn since last August (about 9 mos) and I am VERY pleased.  They show up when they say they will, they are very responsive to requests, their pricing is reasonable and they do a great job.  I was given a calendar of the services they would provide each month for the year. I've always been notified in advance of any changes to the schedule or services.  I have recommended them to my neighbors and friends - I've finally found a service I'm going to keep!!

They were great. They arrived on time and gave me a good quote. They did the work promptly. When they left the area was clean. Everything was as they said it would be. They did not oversell. They were not the most expensive but they were not the cheapest either. They were moderate and modest.

We had Lindsey's come out and quote us on regular maintenance as well as adding some additional landscaping. Each was quoted separately and both were done to our satisfaction. Our lawn always looked nice.

Byron Lindsey is the owner of Lindsey's Lawn & Landscape Inc They are really good and if I have to get anything special done, I call them a week before and Mr. Lindsey makes sure that they come and do the work the next Wednesday. If I need anything really special to be done, he comes dying and we walk around the lawn and plan things together and he makes sure it?s done. He is very responsive, punctual and professional.
