John Coker Lawn Services

I've been a customer of John Coker Lawn Services for over 14 years. I pay in advance in a one year contract. The contract is for 10 months services - weekly mowing and edging as well as a monthly fertilizing and weed control at certain times of the year. I also have my crepe myrtles cut back once a year and have the shrubberies trimmed several times in the summer - not included in the contract. They come on Fridays every week (unless we have had a soaking rain on Thursday) at about 3 PM. The yard is thriving and I'm very pleased with the service and with the prompt response to any special requests I might have.

He is a nice guy. He is very agreeable. He charges $25 per mowing. We just had the front yard mowed; the back yard doesn't have any grass. If we ask him to do any other yard, work then its $90 an hour. He is very quick about that. I used to press my back doing that and he does it within 10 minutes. He is very punctual. He sets you up an appointment. He mows the lawn every Friday. It's very nice to see all that lawn mowed and I don't have to do that during the weekend. In the past, we have used him to plant some seasonal flowers in the flower beds, so that was fine. Beginning of the year, he sends you a questionnaire asking you what you want him to do and he tells you the price for every work like fertilizer, trimming shrubs or trimming trees. He stays with that schedule and you would know what it would cost from the beginning, unless you ask him to do extra stuff. He has done a good job for us. He came recommended by a friend. He is really good on the yard. Every time, I have called him for any work, he was always there. If he says he will be there, then he will be there on time. He is very professional.

They come, they're here, they do the job and they leave. I'm very satisfied with their services.

I have been with them for 12 years. They do a great job overall. The price hasn't changed much in the 12 years. He will give a discount to pay in advance. John has professional crews do the work quickly.

There were three men. They are really reliable. They offer a contract and you can pay in advance then weekly the mow and edge and once a month they treat the yard.

I called many people and no one was ready to come to take care of my lawn. However he came in immediately when I called. I like him and he is available. I am comfortable with him and I trust him. You get a 10% discount if you pay him in the beginning of the year. He has a bachelor degree in horticulture.
