The roof was good but I was never shown a sample before it was laid on the roof. Since it was not according to my initial request, we actually came to an agreement that I will pay $11000 based on $75 per square on material including labor and all other materials. The $75 per square based on published retail rate from Home Depot. I paid the full amount for the square even though I didn't like the look of the roof. We agreed on $11000 complete. We met at Chase bank in my neighborhood, and both him and the roofer signed the final lien waver for $11000. And I went to the bank and gave him a cashier check of $11000, after more than a month, I still haven't received the invoice, which I need to provide for my insurance company. He said that he would send it to me in a couple of days. I text him today with a question mark, and he said that the roofer is still looking to be paid for 2 more square. I told him that the roofers demand is not my concern, I only care about the $11000 invoice. I asked him again for the invoice for the $11000. At this point, he answered me, "Sorry, no, it has to be paid in full" So he is holding my invoice as a hostage until he gets what he wants to get.
