+ 0 moreThe work was arranged through "Sue" in the office, who was a wonderful person with whom to communicate. The work was arranged to begin in less than a week & the crew arrived on time & managed to complete the job in less than the estimated time, regardless of heavy morning rain on the second day. They were professional & courteous.
Description of Work: During the recent heavy rains in north Texas, water got into my clothes closet. We discovered that we needed to have that side of the house regraded & drainage pipe installed. Higgason's gave the best detailed estimate, which included installation of 130 feet of 4" solid PVC drainage pipe, installation of three 9" catch basins, installation of two downspout adapters & they removed dirt to 6" depth to perform a swill. They also cut out a drain in the curb by digging under the concrete sidewalk, & regraded area to slope away from the property & then relaid the soil.

+ -1 moreStan came and took a look at the property on one of the drier days of this summer. He met with me to go over my bid and his recommendations a day or so later. With all the rains, the schedule was booked out a week or two, and my lot was very, very wet so it needed to dry out before the work could be done. The first day his crew was available and my lot was dry enough, the work was performed. All the work was completed in one day, and exactly as quoted.
Description of Work: I bought a town home with a small backyard that flooded with every rain. Also, the downspout had been installed so that water drained from the roof into the outside compressor. Previous homeowners had opted to deck and mulch over the problem which then ruined the grade of the lot. The back of the courtyard also a brick wall/privacy fence which further trapped water. We opted to drain the downspout underground to tie in with one of the new French drain lines. The crew was able to drill through the brick wall allowing the water to drain through the lines down a slight slope to the street. 5 drain boxes were installed. The crew was able to clean up and slightly regrade the lot without having to remove much dirt. I had gotten 2 other bids, Stan's bid was middle bid.
