GRAND OPENINGS

Our contractor recommended Grand Openings. The experience was unpleasant from the start. The rep who came out with our contractor was arrogant and when I asked for warranty information was dismissive and told me I didn't need it because their windows never leak. That was a red flag for me but I went with the contractor's recommendation as he believed in them. The installation was completed and the windows looked beautiful but I had to ask repeatedly for the warranty. I finally received it. The rains of May were intense and on May 30 the windows leaked. I took photos of the water on the inside of the windows running down the glass. The contractor told me to contact Grand Openings. I did and the immediate response was that it was an installation problem. They did agree to send someone to inspect the windows. He told me that these windows don't leak and he really didn't know what to tell me what to do to address the problem. My contractor told me they had thrown him under the bus on another renect occasion ??? ??? I had a follow up conversation with the "service manager" who let me know he had many years in the window business and these windows don't leak. When I asked what I could do to address the water that came in he said he didn't know, he was just the window guy???? A little confusing since he had told me what an experienced guy he was, he had no solution, except to continually correct me when I said the windows are leaking. Bottomline - a window company who cannot provide any advice or direction if water is pouring into windows they provided. Ultimately, I called in another provider who sealed the windows. I am keeping my fingers crossed that it solved the problem and they don't leak. I have built a house, added on to a house and replaced windows on several occasions. This experience was unlike any other and I would never consider Grand Openings or Kolbe Windows again.
