I hired FlooringSmart for two reasons....1) I liked the flooring and counter work they did on a friends house, 2) their price was very reasonable for all the work. I worked with Juan. I believe he owns the company. The counter installation, electrical and lighting work went well. They had a major problem with the fixture in the bathroom. The sink lip had to be drilled after installation in order for the facet to be installed properly. Then there was a problem installing the facet. It took a lot longer than it should have...several trips out were necessary but they were always on time and worked around my schedule. The next problem was the dishwasher to garbage disposal re-connection. I bought a new garbage disposal per Juan's recommendation. When they installed it, they failed to pop the "knockout" valve in the disposal so the dishwasher would not drain. FlooringSmart couldn't figure it out and led me to believe it wasn't installation related. Luckily I have a home warranty. The service rep figured out the problem in 2 seconds when I told him it was a new garbage disposal. Juan had no problem when I subtracted this service fee from my bill. The last problem was a combination of errors on the backsplash. First, the quality of the initial mosaic tile installation was poor. Second, I made a big mistake in material selection having them install a lower border of field tiles. They repaired the section of mosaic tiles with which I was most unhappy and fixed my bad tile choice by ripping out the lower border that they just put in and tiling down to the counter with the mosaic tile. That was complicated since it had to be done row by row in order to avoid cutting the glass mosaic tiles. I think they could have done a better job preparing the wall for tile and initially installing it but I give them credit for working with me to correct my material selection mistake on the field tiles. At the end of the day, the new counters and kitchen backsplash look good. The last project for my kitchen remodel is to have the existing cabinets painted. It's the most important aspect of the kitchen remodel. FlooringSmart offered to do the work, but I decided not to use FlooringSmart largely because I felt I wanted to go with someone where painting was their specialty.

They guys that did the work were very good. The customer service was wonderful and they were very responsive to anything I asked or needed. Twice after the work was completed, QC came out to inspect and once it was even the owner. He found things that were not to his liking and had them fixed when I did not even notice it.
