Fabric Yard

3rd covering had to be done by a professional I found from a decorator. It pays to get names from a professional in the business with knowledge and values their reputation! Fabric Yard doesn't care, its just about the money and they DO NOT know what they are doing in my opinion and This is the worst work for recovering furniture I have ever seen. I was advised this was definitely a legal matter. I was so exhausted I just wanted to be done with it. I have sold real estate for Christies and been around high end quality. Its hard for me to believe this kind of work exists as a business. No padding in back of sofa, the wood frame hit your back when you sat on it. The seat cushion was so overstuffed when you sat on one end the other end flew up. This bottom cushion was over stuffed to make up for the back having no padding. When you put the cushion on the sofa correctly it was a good 3" short of reaching the back of the sofa so they tried to over stuff the seat cushion to compensate. I asked they repair it and it just became more of a mess. They charged 3X more for the exact same material I found at Cutting Corners. Fabric Yard is probably good for auto seat coverings. I bought enough extra material for pillows I didn't receive because they used it up trying to make up for their inability to do the job . All pieces they attempted to correct had no improvement, it made it worse. The foam material they used for padding would launch a jet. They told me it would eventually soften. ( They repeatedly told me one thing after the other that was untrue.) The foam padding was comparable to an old auto seat. If it could be sown down with vinyl covering it might work! I listen to an acquaintance, whom is no longer on my contact list, that this place was all inclusive providing material and labor for a quality deal. The seams in the chairs were puckered and also the foam was so hard it was uncomfortable to sit in the chairs without back pain. The small dressing table seat no longer rotated with ease as the material wasn't trimmed correctly causing the seat to drag and stop and screws were missing, when it was taken back they shot it full of black oil and told me it was just needing to be oiled. I had to get paper towels from the front customer service desk to absorb the oil they poured into it as it would have run into the material and all over my car had it been just put in the car. I had to call them every time. They didn't call unless I called for status as the completion date passed and weeks went by. Everything was so overpriced, poor unacceptable workmanship, poor customer service and then come to find out I was working with one of the owners. The man I worked with named Juan Carlos Segovia, owner, became rude and angry when I tried to explain the errors needing correction. When I called for any reason they always told me I had to speak to Juan. I had to call until he took my call, he never returned my calls. BUYER BE WARE.!!!

SAL-202337 Date: 8-1-2011 Payment amt. $641.84 Contacts: Juan Carlos, Manager and Mr. Sung, Owner 972-774-1740 On Sept. 3, the chair was delivered with a thread pulled out from the fabric (making a loop). I sent the chair back for repair. On Sept. 6, the chair was returned to me with the loop cut off and two loose ends of thread protruding from the fabric. Sept. 8., Juan Carlos came to my house to look at the loose threads. He said he would return to my house with the correct needle to make the repair. I left on a trip and called upon my return. Sept. 22, Juan Carlos said the chair could not be repaired in my house . Sept. 23, the chair was picked up and taken back to Fabric Yard. I received a call that afternoon asking if I wanted to come see the repair or just have the chair delivered. I arranged to come in. Sept. 26, when I looked at the chair at Fabric Yard , the repair was poorly done and noticeable. I asked to talk to the owner Mr. Sung. He argued with me telling me I was "crazy" because I could see the repair. I asked him to reupholster the back of the chair or give me a 50% discount on the cost of the job. He said no to both in a very dismissive and disrespectful manner.
