Dring Air Conditioning & Heating

I called Dring AC for a $70 "ac summer tuneup." The only reason I even called them was because they bought out the company that originally installed and maintained my origian AC, SunAir. At the time my AC was working without any issues. Dring came out on July 7 for the tuneup. He looked at the system and said there were parts that needed to be replaced. I specifically told him that I was did not want any repairs done because it was working fine and I asked for an estimate for replacement. He called a sales rep to come give me an estimate for replacement. While speaking with the sales rep, the tech said "I'm just going to replace your contactor to keep you running." which I did not authorize him to do. The contactor was one of the parts he claimed needed to be repaired, however I had already told him that I did not want any repairs done because the ac was already running fine. Then the tech came back inside and said after he changed the contactor, the capacitator blew. He then went to replace the capacitator, and a second one blew. Now I'm left with an ac that no longer worked, and according to Dring, was now unrepairable. This entire interaction is all on video, down to the last word, thanks to my home security system which covers both the interior and exterior of my house. At this point it's late on a Friday afternoon, my ac is out, its over 100 degrees outside and I have a pregnant wife and 3 pets living in the house. I had no choice but to move forward with having them replace the ac and was denied any opportunity to do my research or get quotes from other companies for replacing the system. On July 8, they came to replace the system. System was replaced, however, they were supposed to rerun the duct from the ac to the master bedroom and did not do so, despite that being one of my primary initial concerns not to mention was specifically told they would do that during the installation. They also took my $200 Nest thermostat and left a huge mess in the attic. When they "finished" the installation, I was handed an ipad to sign that didn't show me anything other than to sign. I received zero paperwork from the company at any point in time, not even for the loan I had to take out to pay for the replacement. Infuriated, I started to call other companies to get quotes and discovered I was SIGNIFICANTLY overcharged for the replacement system by almost double what it should have cost, literally thousands of dollars. Additionally, I have to find another company to come resolve the duct issue that Dring was supposed to complete and replace my Nest. I was also charged an additional $1k for service to clean all the hvac ducts, except when the duct cleaning company came, they informed me that there was no reason to clean the ducts since a majority of them had just been replaced. After filing a complaint with the BBB, the issue was considered to be resolved upon someone from Dring calling me and leaving one voicemail and then never returning my return calls. Not only was Dring's service reprehensible, it should be criminal to get away with the price gouging that they use. There's no better evidence for this tactic than their pricing timeline structure. Although it is commonplace for companies to use price incentives to encourage a purchase sooner rather than later, the sheer gap between their price for "today" vs one week vs one month, a gap of more than $10k, is just proof of how much they are padding their profits, all at the consumer's expense. At the end of the day, it is absolutely egregious for a company to come in for a tune-up, literally break your AC that was working when they arrived, and the extremely gouge you on the price of replacement. It's beyond egregious. I would NEVER let DRING touch my hvac unit EVER again. You've been warned.

Excellent! They are outstanding technicians , and technical experts in the a/c field. Highly pleased with their service and know how to get the job done!. Would recommend to anyone needing a/c or jnsulation repairs and yes I plan to use Dring Air Conditioning in the future and thank you Dring!!

We placed replacement HVAC equipment for our condo last year. We were thrilled with the quality of advice, responsiveness and support we received from all their staff both at our condo and over the phone. Today we had a spring tune-up performed by Ariel Rodriguez. He was outstanding as well. Dring is a company that I recommend A+++. It is rare to find an outstanding company these days. It is a pleasure dealing with Dring. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

Really BAD. Angi.com referred Dring to me when I was searching to replace the insulation in my house. Dring's representative came to assess what I needed and he insisted I needed to replace the ducts and started to persuade me into having to replace the entire system. I only needed new insulation and the ducts cleaned up. This man took complete advantage of me by insisting on selling a new system, to which I gave in because I thought it would be a good investment. He assured this change would help save money in electricity. Since January 2021 when they installed the "new" system I have not had anything but problems and a very large debt. My dissatisfaction with Dring Air Conditioning & Heating is that they have not resolved the problems caused by them by installing a system I didn't need. They have caused me so many nuisances with the failure to complete the work. They have been to my house more than 20 times to work on the same system they've installed one year ago. What they installed has caused me more problems than the 20 year old system I had. Dring has failed me greatly by giving me a bad and costly experience in such a large investment.

On-time, excellent and professional technicians performed the work. Pricing was well below competitors. Technicians laid protective cloth down on entry, door threshold, wooden floors and upstairs carpet and made absolutely no mess. Cleaned up attic when job was completed. Excellent company, fantastic office staff and wonderful technicians. Definitely would recommend to anyone!

Excellent! Technician (Twon) was on-time, explained every detail of what the annual maintenance plan included, details of inspections, etc. Technician completed full inspection then, explained issues (very few found), talked me thru the numerous pics he took of our system and repaired 2 issues. I have never had this experience with a home services company, very impressed!

Service was excellent and would highly recommend them for hire.

Very fast and efficient work by the technicians. Sales rep very knowledgeable, explained all the options well, answered all my questions frankly, and provided a good deal on financing the project. We bought our new HVAC system from them 4 years ago and have been very happy with their products and services.

Patrick came out at 8am the morning after we called. He diagnosed the problem and corrected it, plus reconfigured the overflow drain properly. He was very professional and did not try to take advantage of the situation to increase the bill. We have two zones, hence another compressor etc.; when we called to schedule , the scheduler quoted us a price for both units. Since we only needed to service one, we paid less than anticipated. We have used Dring before and were happy with the outcome as well.

This is the second time I have used Dring and I have been extremely happy with their technician.  He is thorough and explains things very well.  I called them on a Monday morning and they were there later that day.  With it being in the middle of the summer I was pleased with their quick response.

They're making sure that our HVAC system is running optimally. We've had them for years. We looked them up way before we were even on Angie's List. We tried them out once and they gave us a really good service so we just kind of stuck with them. They gave us pretty reasonable good prices.

I have used them for 25 years. They have been in business for 50 or 60 years, and so I know they do quality work, and they have treated me well in the past.

Out of three quotes, Dring came in the lowest.  They were the only one that took the time to inspect the existing system and recommend altering the return air plenum to a more efficient configuration.
They showed up on time and did all the work in one day with minimum disruptionto the household.  When done the crew did a great job of cleaning up, leaving nothing behind.
We have had them do 2 seasonal service checks and both times they were very professional

Dring did a great job installing a new condenser and evaporator coil at my home. From the initial call to setup an appointment, throughout the entire process every person I dealt with from the company was extremely professional and courteous. I had gotten a quote for the replacement from another company and Dring beat their price by several thousand dollars for the same exact Carrier equipment.
The day of the install, the two technicians arrived on time and were very pleasant to deal with. They got the job done promptly without any problems. They also took the time to explain everything they would be doing and showed me exactly what had been done when they finished.  
I had a great experience with Dring and will use them in the future for any A/C needs.
