I am not shocked to see all the negative reviews. This company and Owner Garrison Pilant are complete crooks. the product does not hold up, color fades with in 30 days and just like the other reviews, once Garrison gets your money do not expect any further communication. Cre8 Stone ruined kitchen and family room tile floors with his product. We also had them do the back yard patio and sure enough the product cracks, peals, and color faded in less than 30 days. Garrison is the worst business man i have ever dealt with. BUYERS BE WARE!!!!! Horrible company, Horrible Owner, Horrible product. Interesting when you google Cre8 Stone one of the first things that pop up is Owner Garrison Pilants Arrest MUG SHOT.

BEWARE!!!!Do not use the company called Cre8stone in Carrollton. They are crooks. Took our money, did a crappy job, and walked off the job before it was even completed. Large portions were falling off the wall when we got home today. The new mantle we purchased & paid them to install was hung very shotty! It also fell off the wall with nothing on it. They will not stand behind their work. It will now cost me almost triple to repair the chaos they have caused. I wish we had read other reviews before we hired them as there are many similar issues.

It was a horrible experience from the beginning.  The owner bid the job, was hired and gladly accepted our down payment.  There was bad weather coming so he said he would send a crew to get started right away, while they could still travel the roads.  One person showed up and barely spoke English, so communication was near impossible.  They were asked not to begin work in both bathroom at the same time and they did anyway, leaving us without a useable shower.  The bad weather hit and the contractor ran off the road and could not get to his hotel, so with snow and ice everywhere, I was forced to let this stranger sleep on my couch.  An attempt was made to reach the owner to no avail.  They cut the existing faucets off, making them unusable and new faucets had to be purchased.  It took him twice as long as they said it would.  The contractor attempted to get me to pay him directly and offered to do work under the table, as long as his boss didn't find out.  Numerous attempts were made to reach the owner and I finally got a call from his son agreeing to remove the cost of the faucets from our bill.  We have had trouble with the color coming off, the stone cracking and pulling away from the wall and floor.  Currently there is a crack in the floor of one shower and water is getting under it and causing it to bulge and crack.  I attempted to reach them for 3 days and I was finally able to reach him.  I was advised that they would not do any repair until the remaining balance was cleared up and i advised I would not clear up the existing balance until I was satisfied with the work.  Look at the BBB complaints on this company before hiring them

This was originally published under remodeling in general but I wanted here so other people can see what a disaster this company is.

I agreed to company coming in on 4/16/2015 to accommodate company that was moving from one suburb to another & the owner said that they needed work. The original oral agreement was for work to done Thursday/Friday that because of incompetence was finished on Monday. There were bricks on the original brick fireplace that stuck out some 4". I wanted these left in place & the owner & workers  agreed BUT they were demolished to leave a smooth surface THAT I DID NOT WANT. Then on Thu for the back splash one worker

carefully applied tape to cover the grout that I wanted to retain the same color & they then applied a mix over the tile. On Friday the worker said that this mix was wrong & they would have to be removed, which they did. Another man on Friday then covered the entire back splash including the grout. This hardened over the week end & could not be removed as it would have taken the existing tile with it. A further worker tried to remedy the bad work by putting a "wash" over the mix & another color for the grout but again this was not what was agreed to or WHAT I WANTED. Other posts have been about the son of the owner being so rude & aggressive & I echo them. I paid 50% at the beginning & immediately after the so called work was done the son was on the phone demanding payment by check. In view of the incompetence of the work I asked for a discount & after much, much argument he agreed to $150 from the original amount of $2900. He also demanded that I pay by check & at first would not accept a credit card. When I told him it was credit card or nothing he very ,very reluctantly agreed.  Do NOT under any circumstances use this company.

We had our patio overlayed and stamped in Jan. 2013 which was beautiful.  Within 3 months the overlay was cracked and chipping.  We contacted the company as we were having our pool deck done as well.  The pool deck was scheduled for June 2013 and we agreed the patio repair would be performed then.  The day the work was to begin, the company did not show up nor call.  After repeatedly trying to contact them we finally got in touch and rescheduled the work after many apologies.  They finally showed to perform the work in July which was supposed to take 2 days and wound up taking two weeks due to their errors.  We finally wound up with two overlays on top each other which caused a lip between the deck and the pool coping after various disagreements with the supervisor and asking him to leave the property.  We contacted the company and told them he was not welcome back.  The crew was great but they ran out of materials repeatedly and again we had to wait.  Some days they did not even have the gas to show up to perform the work.  I had to give them gas money to show up or otherwise the job was stalled again.  The job was finally completed and within 6 months all the material was cracking and popping up.  We tried to contact the company and received no response.  The job was so bad we finally had to completely remove our pool deck and patio and have new concrete (aggregate) laid.

I would avoid this company at all costs unless you want to burn money and time!

I agreed to company coming in on 4/16 to accommodate company that was moving from another suburb & men did not have any work for this period. The original oral agreement was for work to be done on Thursday & Friday this then stretched to the following Monday before it was finished due to incompetence. There were bricks on original fireplace that stuck out some 4" that we agreed would be left after the slurry was applied. These bricks were cut from the fireplace thus leaving a smooth surface THAT I DID NOT WANT.  On the back splash, the first two men on Thursday, were careful in applying a thin tape to cover the existing grout which color I wanted to retain. It then turned out that the material they applied over the back splash was wrong and on Friday it all had to be removed. Another man who came in on Friday then applied a material that covered the entire back splash including the grout which color I was trying to keep. This new material hardened over the week end & could not be removed without damaging the existing tile. Another man then applied a wash with color over the wrongly applied material but this again was NOT WHAT I WANTED or had agreed on but had to accept.  In view of the incompetence of the work I asked the son of the owner for a discount. He was very rude in his argument that they had tried their best & also at first refused to accept a credit card for the balance of the work. I had initially paid 50% down. After much argument he agree to $150 off on an original amount of $2980 & to accept a credit card but it was done with great reluctance.

On their web site they quote reviews from Angie's list but apparently are not represented.

I would NOT use this company any circumstances.

Not well. It's falling off my house and they won't warranty their work. They won't come back and fix it. The only they will come back and fix it is if I sign off on any future warranty work.

Train wreck. not only do they do poor work, but they are not even able to give you an accurate representation of what the project will look like when it is finished. They have no way of showing you how the colors will turn out on the faux stone that they pour.
Response from Cre8 Dallas

"Cre8 has thousands of satisfied customers that purchase our product daily. Our business is to do an overlay on floors which we were doing for [Member Name Removed]. He was not happy with it when we put the first layer down. We explained that our product goes down in two layers and he would not be able to tell what it will look like until the second layer has been laid. The first layer is nothing more than the grout line that will be carved out of the second layer. The customer never gave us a chance to complete the work. He asked us to stop in the middle after doing only the first coat. We would have been happy to complete the job just like we have done for 1000's of other customers. We pride ourselves on great customer service."

This review is long over due and the first time a employee of Angies list had called me and wrote it and did not get the review anywhere correct so I am having to modified her review to be correct and be fair to the company.

The owner's son Garrison president of the company came out and sold me the Job They did stone work in my house in
(JUNE) and messed up my just newly remodeled house . The workers did seem nice and the stone wall looks fine at first glance till but during the process they They messed up my new wood stairs and than brand new painted walls during clean up. The wall looked nice from distance but for the price of $6000+ the edges messy and the

Stains left on new wood stairs after stone work and problems getting anyone to return calls I called their office and the Presidents (Garrisons cell phone numbers and when their he finally got back to me he said let me call some of the workers and he would call me back but the owner never called me back. My stairs sat with wet material on them all day and night.

It took me writing and calling and writting NARI www.naridallas.org before seeing any results

and I had to write a complaint before the came out. Huge portion at the bottom of my stairs had turned black. I found out that on Angie's list there were a lot of people complaining about this company. Wished I had been a member of Angie's list prior to using this company. not mush better results on BBB My mistake for not doing a better check on this company but with all the contractors I had out previously I slipped up on checking on this one.

Finally they brought a painter who was a girl She seemed OK but she cut her finger five minutes after she had arrived I felt sorry for her. She did also get some colored paint on my ceiling so but mostly its ok so me and my husband will deal with it and have it fixed. But now me and my husband at this point did not want this company any in our house. Other than if we have to call for any warranty work. hopefully we will not but they did not seal the stone and it seems to still have dust so time will only tell. We are done with them.
Garrison did not even act like he cared. I know people make mistakes but they did not act like they cared and they need to have way better customer service, they are quick to call you back before you pay them But horrible at calling you back or getting some one out to fix their mistakes afterwards took till (AUGUST to get things repaired)

The workers are very nice and courteous show up on time and the artistic work looks fairly nice its the Company and Garrison not returning calls and getting someone out here promptly and taking too long too resolve issues ONCE YOUVE PAID
The finally results do look nice for the most part but time will tell but I would not use them again and personally feel it should of been sealed too just hope It holds up so that I do not have to call them for a warranty job.
Response from Cre8 Dallas

"Garrison spoke with this customer 20 plus times and has been out to her home 5 times or more. Garrison wasn't able to answer the 10 phone calls that the customer made to him back to back due to being in another customer's home. Once Garrison didn't answer [Member name removed] called the Cre8 office and let us know about her wood stairs as well as the paint on her wall. Once Garrison was informed about the phone call he immediately found a company that could go out to repair her stairs. We also had a painter on staff that could go and take care of the paint on her walls. We had a really hard time scheduling both the painter and the wood specialist as [Member name removed] had a very busy schedule while trying to get this taken care of. We sent one company out that [Member name removed] didn't feel "comfortable' with so we called a different company. We then had a hard time getting this one scheduled. Once everything worked out with the schedules of all parties involved the wood stairs and the walls were taken care of and the customer signed off on these repairs. She has never said anything other than positive things about the stone work that was applied to her home. With the exception of the above mentioned items that needed to take place once the job was completed she was a happy customer. Cre8 prides itself on positive customer experiences and this instance was resolved and taken care of with no mention of anything but positivity when it came to the stone applied."

The provider schedule the work to be done in one day but it ended up being three day because they were working between my home and my neighbors with only two workers (poor time management).  The work was still not completed, even after the third day.  There was damage to my interior walls and ceiling fan from the prep work of the worker.  The providers collected all monies (against my better judgment) before the job was completed.  I contacted the provider to see when they would be out to complete the work and received attitude from the office staff.  As of today, the work is still unfinished!
Response from Cre8 Dallas

"When Cre8 went out to bid this job for [Member's name removed] he asked if we could go take a look at his neighbors home as well since they were interested in the possibility of getting some work done. He then asked if we would give him a discount for referring her and we could do the jobs at the same time since they were across the street from one another. Cre8 did all that was asked of them as well as offered a payment plan for the balance of the work that was performed. (Cre8 doe not do financing). The balance was to be paid in the amount of $500.00. When the customer called stating that the crew had gotten overspray on the walls (no damage) he asked if we would give him a discount of $250.00 to please his wife and he would take care of painting the walls himself. We did just that and gave him a $250.00 discount. The balance of $250.00 was paid and the job was completed. The original job was to be done within one day however the customer added more work while we were there so of course it would take a little longer to have the work completed. This was a very difficult customer to work with as the wife would call screaming at our office staff while the husband took a totally different attitude and was kind and easy to work with. The customer did all he could to help us with pleasing his wife. I have attached the final payment that was received 4 days after the job began which would go to show that the work was complete. This payment also reflects the $250.00 discount that was given to them. Cre8 never leaves a customer unsatisfied and we always get the final payment once the job is completed, never before as she stated in her review. We only received the first half of the payment when the job started. Please note the dates on the contract that was signed by [Member's name removed] as well as the date on the final check that was issued to Cre8."

Meet with a gentlemen whom I was told to be the son that owns Cre8stone.  I asked many questions about the process and the answers did not seem to set well.  He went  on to tell me that they had done Adriatic tower in McKinney, well little did he know.  I question him on this statement and he stated that others have taken credit and don't believe what they say.

Prior to Cre8stone coming out I had done research on the process and looked at online reviews.  In addition went to BBB to check on them as well.  I also looked into who had done the Adriatic tower in McKinney since I knew that was lime coated.  I went to talk to developer that did the tower and they stated stone coat did the work not Cre8stone.

So bottom line is the owners son came out and totally lied to me about the tower and in addition were more expensive then stone coat.

I felt it was necessary to warn people so they are not taken to cleaners or have a bad experience with this shady company.

Update
Actually you are completely incorret since I talked to the architect / developer and the company that manages the property currently in person to confirm.  I made sure my facts were correct before I wrote this.  If anyone doubts my findings just go to the tower and ask for yourself.  I have nothing to gain other than warning the fellow citizen. This is the example of why I did not choose your shady company. As someone else stated the owners son whom is the salesman could not sell water in a desert.

Response from Cre8 Dallas

"Stone coat in fact DID NOT do the work on the tower. That was done by the company that [members name] purchased to form Cre8. The company that [members name] worked with and purchased to form Cre8 is the company that did the tower. It was done by the same guys that work for Cre8 with the same product that Cre8 uses. Never did Stone Coat do the work on the tower. Stone Coat wasn't even established at the time that the tower was stoned. In fact, this review has nothing to do with our product nor does it say that our owner is being untruthful about the tower. This customer is obviously misinformed."

Have to redo over 50% of what they did on the exterior of my home. Poor application of the product, parts of my exterior are just crumbling away. Did not seal the area, have water damage inside my home due to leaks that came from behind the application. Cost me double to get the exterior of my home done beause I have to redo it!!! I could go on, but unless you can Project Manage them and know about how to seal properly, don't use them. Not happy customer.

My husband did this as a surprise for me, so I wasn't home. It looks great, however, they used tape to isolate the area to have the stone application and left permanent areas on my hardwoods where the tape pulled off the top layer of shine. We had a place on the mantle that cracked and fell off. I called the company AT LEAST 20 times before someone came to fix it. I discussed the fact that the and quot;stoneand quot; crumbles off and was told that it should have been sealed and that the seal would be done at the time the mantle was repaired. When the men came to fix the mantle they were very nice but explained the seal couldn't be done until the repair had dried for several days. They requested me to call the company to schedule the sealant. I called the company again about 10-20 times over several months and was Never called back. I try not to vacuum close to the walls and if touched sand sized white powder/rock falls off. Its supposed to have a lifetime guarantee so Ill start calling again when I want to waste my time.

I had a lot of problems getting them on the job and getting them to come back to fix some problems. However, once done, I was very pleased with the job initially. Everyone that sees it thinks our kitchen is beautiful. as long as they don't look too close. After a few months, the urethane began to wear off in places creating dull spots, scratches, etc. We called them back several times and they finally sent the original installer who recoated our countertops for free. We now have to be very careful about using placemats, trivets, etc so as not to scratch or dull the surface. It is now 1 1/2 yrs later and we are having cracking and peeling of the verticle surfaces. I am trying to get them back and will probably be billed this time for them not doing it right the first time. However I don't know of anyone else doing this type of work, so I have to work with them. Long story short...........just use granite instead. I don't recommend them.
Response from Cre8 Dallas

"Cre8 offers a lifetime warranty on our countertops and will ALWAYS come out to repair any problems you have with them at no additional cost to the customer. Please call our office and schedule a time to have anything done to your countertops that you are not satisfied with. The reason we offer a lifetime warranty on them is due to the fact that they are durable and we do stand behind our product."

Gary and Donna are great people to do business with we just love them! Their employees work hard to please, but in my opinion need to take better instruction from Gary when the job starts. They didn't get the stone colors right the first time as they were instructed to do by Gary and had to go back in correct their mistake. Gary make good on the work that we wanted and the follow up was very timely! My Fireplace and counter and arc which they make for me looks great! We also added the stone to the outside fireplace which is on our patio and roof chimney and dog house (what I call the window over the door that looks like a dog house to me?) over the front door.

We would highly recommend Cre8stone to anyone who want to add a great look and feel to their home!
