I had a great experience working with Stacey and his crew! Stacey was very responsive when I reached out to him about my job. He came the next day to evaluate the work and was willing to work with me to make sure a few unique features were included to address some peculiarities with my home. He provided me a quote before he left and his price was very competitive. He was also able to start the job within a week.
On the scheduled day of the work he showed up on time and he and his crew quickly went to work. The crew members were nice guys and we had some great conversations about college and pro football. The majority of the work was complete by the early afternoon and the entire job was done in only one day. They showed me all the components of the system--outside the home, in the attic and in the house--and showed me how to use and take care of the system. After the weekend we wanted to adjust some of the airflow in the bedrooms and Stacey sent his crew to help us make these adjustments.
I really enjoyed my experience with Stacey and his crew. They did a great job and were wonderful at making sure the work was tailored to my specific preferences and needs. I strongly recommend them!

Stacey came and reviewed my system in March 2015 and said he thought my home warranty repair guy could get the system back up and running.  He gave me great guidance and the home warranty contractor was able to do what Stacey recommended.  He said if they weren't able to get it running, he was able to replace my old unit with a used system for a huge savings.  
Late last week a power surge in my neighborhood caused the compressor to go out intermittently so Stacey Calahan was my first call.  
Stacey and his guys were professional, friendly, helpful and detailed in their replacement of my unit.  The replacement isn't pretty like a new one... but it is working great and blowing air at approx 50º.  
This went so smoothly, one of my best friends is doing a similar project with Calahan today.

Stacy reached out to me the same day I contacted him and he came out the next day and gave us a free estimate.  The inside unit was the original (circa 1970's) and our inspector had informed us that it was "on it's last leg".  Stacey came and did a thorough assessment and recommended a complete new system as the outside unit was very old and replacing both would make the unit much more efficient.  We purchased a 3-ton 14 SEER Rheem and Stacey and his crew provided excellent service through out the entire process.  He called to schedule the install and took the time to inform us that the copper pipe that was buried in the back yard that ran from the outside unit to the inside was too large for the newer freon used in this system.  He completed all the work in a timely fashion and he and his crew are polite, respectful and cleaned up after the job was done.  They worked late into the evening to finish and he even sent a picture of the of the installed unit to us on our phone that night.  :) From beginning to end this was an easy process and I would definitely recommend Calahan Construction in the future.  I have found an AC guy for life!

Great Experience!
Stacey came over and gave me a quote for no charge within a day of me contacting him.  He was able to come back two days later to replace the AC and gas furnace.  The old unit still worked so there was no immediate need.  His crew was great.  They had to deal with a tight attic space and ended up working all day to get the new unit in.  Once done they walked me through everything before asking me to sign off and pay.  I've already spoken to them about coming back out in the future to do some painting and other work.  

The toilet and window repairs went fine.  We called because a/c had broken.  Stacey looked at it and said there was a leak somewhere.  He said he would top it with freon and put dye in so he can find the leak in about a month. A month later and a/c is no longer cooling.  I call Stacey and ask him to come back and look for the leak and repair.  He curtly tells me it is the evap coil and it will be $2000.  Then why did we waste time and money refilling freon and supposedly putting dye in the line if he knew it was the evap coil.  No discussion of options, no talk of the condenser.  I finally cancelled the appointment and went with another provider.  I checked with them and despite what I read online the price quoted was fair, but I did not trust Stacey to do the repair after our interactions.

Things went very well with the big deal purchase from Calahan Construction & Air. Overall, I would grade them very good.

Calahan is the one of the most professional service organizations that I have worked with recently.  I look for several things when hiring a contractor:  product knowledge, responsiveness, professionalism, trustworthiness, ethics and fairness (regarding price).  I would rate Calahan an 11 out of 10 on each of these points.  I will use him again and I strongly recommend this company for anyone who needs HVAC equipment serviced at their home or business.

Ontime arrival and great service.

The owner, Mr. Callahan, gave us a prompt inspection of our ac and heating unit. Because the unit had been giving us problems for years needing costly repair and caused smoke to enter the house with most recent problem, we opted for total replacement. They scheduled replacement the next day and completed the work in one day. Just as they were finishing up the assistant working with Mr. Callahan had an unfortunate misstep resulting in a hole in the ceiling in our bathroom. Mr. Callahan sent the assistant back the next day to repair the hole. He worked to make the repair with patience and perfection treating the repair as if it was his own house and when he was finished we couldn't tell there had ever been any damage. The area damaged was very difficult to repair, but he worked patiently attending to every detail. Both men were prompt, courteous and friendly and treated the job as if they were working on their own home. An excellent job was done and we will definitely use them again when we need work that that they do. Thank you Angie's list for finding us such a professional caring provider to do our work!

Contacted Stacey from "Calahan Construction and Air" on Friday May 1, 2015.  Stacey was completing a job in the next city from me , so he said he could stop by on his way home that day.  Stacey arrived later that afternoon and gave me a estimate for the project that was very reasonable compared to the other two offers I had already received.  I accept his bid and agreed to getting them installed on Tuesday May 5, 2015.  Stacey arrived on time, actually he arrived about an hour earlier then he said ready to get an early start.  Stacey and his crew did a very professional job.  They first put down floor covers from my front door all the way up my stairs and top floor to the attic.  These were to protect my carpeting and tile floors from the old uninstalled metal from old units and any possible damage from new units being brought in from outside. I hardly noticed them working all day unistalling and installing new units.  Stacey had some of his crew working inside on furnaces and air handlers, while other worked on the ouside with the compressors.  Although they worked very hard and almost 12 hours, they were unable to finish all 3 units.  They were able to complete two units so by the end of the first day we had cool air upstairs and in the master suite.  Stacey return the next morning to complete the third unit.  By the afternoon the third unit was complete and working well. Stacy made sure his crew did a thorough clean up inside and outside of my house.  He also took videos of all the units inside and out so I could have a copy of the installations. Stacey took the time after the second long day to sit down with me and go over all the warrantees and how to register them. I would definately recommend him to my friends.  Thanks Stacey for a great professional job.  I know I will use you in the future.
