Stone Crafters

I called a day prior to see if they were open the next day and to make sure they had washed limestone gravel. I guy answered and told me they did have the gravel and he would be there at 9:30 in the morning. I got there at 9:35 the next morning and the gates were shut and nobody was around. I forgot to mention this is about a 30 minute drive from my house. I saw a sign saying they open at 10:00 so I decided to wait until 10:00. 10:00 came and nobody showed up. After I called about 5 times a lady finally answered and told me there was supposed to be someone there. Than she said someone would be there at 11:00. I was already upset but decided to wait another hour being I had already waited 30 minutes not counting the drive time. Well 11:00 came and went and nobody showed up so I called the # and of course nobody answered. After trying to call six times and waiting until 11:15 I gave up and drove back home with nothing but a waist of time and gas. The thing that bugs me the most is when somebody tells you they are going to be there at a certain time the right thing is to be a man, woman. company of your word. We are getting ready to redo our gravel road and remodel our kitchen with granite countertops and it is good to know that Stone Crafters is not interested in this work.

The owner came out about 6 weeks ago (about a week and half after we first called them for a bid) to give us an estimate to have dry rot repair and double door replacement. Five weeks after him coming out we still hadn't received a bid so we called them and they said they'd have it to us via email in a day or two, around 9/16,2014. Also, during that five week period we had numerous contacts with them via phone and email and they either did not call back or gave us some excuse. To date, we have heard nothing from them. Our last contact was 9/22/2014 when we notified them in writing via email that if we did not receive their quote by day's end on 9/23/2014 that we would no longer require their services. Still no response.

It's been this total lack of professionalism that has prompted us to write this review and look elsewhere on Angie's List for a service provider. We did not use Angie's List initially and we regret that.

Side note -- His category of work is and quot;Mulch and Topsoiland quot; but he is also a contractor, or sub-contracts out, home repair.

They're very good, very professional and they're local. He's a fabulous landscaper but he also sells stuff where if you want to do it yourself, you can just buy the materials from him and do it yourself. He needs to be more responsive. He's go too much work and not enough people to do it. He doesn't like to overextend himself but you have really pin him down to get him to commit but once he starts on your project, he goes nonstop and he does probably the best work in Canyon Lake.

I got a local contractor to come out and give me some real figures. I decided to go with them and picked out my own slab of granite. A week and a half ago I emailed him pictures of the granite that I picked out and I'm still waiting to hear from him. I just haven't heard anything. Also, the estimate wasn't very clear.
