I called to get an estimate on patching 2 flat roof leaks.  He returned my call same day (Friday) and offered to come out the following Monday, which he did.  He brought his own ladder and went up onto the roof.  Was up there for about 15 minutes. He noted two problem areas (same 2 areas an earlier infrared scan by a different company had indicated leaks). He provided a written estimate, but not much detail on estimate of $400.  He required 1/2 payment upfront (to purchase materials). I wrote a check for $200.  Because it rained the next day, he called to say he would be out when the weather was better, which he did.
He used plywood, nails, tar, and sealant to fix roof.  I am not too pleased that he hammered so many nails into the flat roof, but he says the tar and sealant seals the nail holes.  He hammered in a lot of nails, and he did make a lot of noise up there...I am thinking he dropped the plywood heavily onto the roof a few times.  It may be my own ignorance, but my understanding was that it is best to be gentle on a flat roof to prevent additional cracks.  After the two areas were finished, he rang the doorbell to let me know, and for remaining payment of $200.  I went up ladder to look at the work.  The white roof had black, tarred repair areas, which is ok, but just be aware of this. I painted Kilz on ceiling and will be repainting with ceiling paint in a few days. Only small rain showers since repair, and no additional ceiling leaks.  But only a heavy downpour will provide a good test.

Jaime Zarate was very professional and worked with my schedule without complaint. It took several tries for us to get the schedule right but he was always ready to come when I had the time. He even offered same day service. He was fast and efficient, taking about an hour to replace the shingles securely. He does offer free estimates and the price was just what he estimated it to be. I would use him again and recommend him to others.

I looked on Angie's list for good reviews on roofers. I called the 3 with the best reviews. Out of those 3, Jamie(JZ) was the only one who called back. He called back the same day I left a message. He said he was busy that day,but could come out the next morning. He came as promised and on time. We needed our roof replaced so he and my husband worked out a deal. Because my husband was willing and able to get a permit, haul away the debris, and buy the materials, they worked out a "labor only" price, which we were very pleased with. The price above includes everything we spent. Jamie came the next morning with 2 other men and they finished the entire roof in 2 days! There was one area we were not happy with after they left, but when we called him and told him about, it he had a man out there the next work day and fixed it perfectly! My husband and I love our new roof and appreciate the FANTASTIC job Jamie and his men did for us...top notch! I am so grateful to have found him! We have friends who paid 3x as much, hate their roof, took a week to finish, used hammers instead of nail guns, and are still fighting with the company that did their roof. Ironicly she thought Angie's list cost too much to subscribe to, so she picked a roofer blindly. But a month subscription to Angie's list would have saved her money, time and stress! Use JZ Roofing, you will be glad you did!!!

Jaime Zarate, the owner, came out 2 hours after I called and went up on the roof and found where the leak was located. He gave me an estimate and said he could do the work the following day. I agreed and he came at the time he said he would and repaired the leak and addressed other concerns that I had. He was very knowledgeable and could have easily performed unnecessary repairs. I recommend him highly!

A job well done. Very professional and he explained to me further repair that was needed on the flat portion on my roof. Referred to the bad workmanship on one particular area of roof when house was built. Added reinforcement to that area. What a little extra but well worth the price

He was a real neat guy. He fixed it but it hasn't rained since to tell if it works. He was a very helpful man. I have a flat roof. I will call him when I need a new roof. He came when he said he would and he was very professional.

Perfect! He was second to the lowest bid out of the three, and i felt he was the most honest. when asked should i replace the roof (another roofer wanted to replace the entire roof) this company said "no way", it's a great roof and should last another 15 yrs after we are finished.

Very well, all the old material was removed and some skylights that were not part of the original estimate were resealed. Not the quickest roofers I have dealt with but it was great value. The roofing crew were polite and thoughtful.

Jaime showed up when promised. He had a very reasonable quote. He showed up to work on the day/time we agreed upon and even though he was a man short, he finished on time and on budget. He left me a note on the 2nd visit to make sure I reseal at least every other year. I plan to use him every other year.
