He never did show up to do work. He would set a day to do work but never show up with some excuse. Also, hasn’t returned deposit. Again sets a day to return deposit, but there is excuse.

Rebecca M.10/03/2018 Overall Aaron and his brother are the worst home improvement contractors in El Paso in my opinion. They ruined my roof, it’s bubbling and peeling and Because of their incompetence I will need to replace my entire roof! My roof leaked in many places after the first rain upon the completion of the repair! I am headed to small business claims to try to recoup my money. They will not answer my calls or messages, so much for the 15 year warranty I was promised!

Timeline of my experience with Aaron Gomez: 08/01/13 I made a contract with Aaron Gomez (of Gomez Home Improvement or Gomez Brothers Home Improvement @ 915-887-8398) to have my home painted inside and outside. We signed a contract on Thursday, August 1, 2013 and agreed on a start date of August 12, 2013 at 8:00 a.m. I paid Mr. Gomez $1500.00 as a deposit with a personal check. 08/12/13 On the agreed start date of 08/12/13, the Mr. Gomez and his employees failed to show to my residence or telephone me. I telephoned the Mr. Gomez at 10:00 hours and asked him where he was and what the problem was. Mr. Gomez stated that he was running late and asked if he could start on Thursday (08/15). I advised him that would be fine and not to leaving me hanging as I thought it was unprofessional. 08/13/13 On 08/13, Mr. Gomez arrived at my residence at approximately 09:30 to apologize for not showing and not telephoning on the agreed start date. 08/14/13 On Wednesday 08/14, Mr. Gomez called me and asked if he could start the following Monday. I again gave him the benefit of the doubt and stated this would be okay. 08/19/13 On Monday, 08/19 Mr. Gomez showed up with a crew of only two employees. Mr. Gomez stated that he was running late on his jobs as he had just let two guys go for smoking marijuana at a worksite. I asked the Mr. Gomez if it would be possible to install rain gutters. Gomez stated that he could do the work at an additional cost of $500. Gomez asked for a deposit of $150.00 to prep the gutters that he already had left over from a previous job. I gave Gomez a personal check for that amount. 08/20/13 On Tuesday, 08/20/13, Gomez asked for a $500 advance on payment as he had ordered the wrong paint. Gomez stated that this would be a loan against the balance owed. On Wednesday, 08/21/13, I wrote a personal check for the amount of $500.00. Over the course of the next few days, work continued at a snail`s pace with Gomez never to be found. Gomez? two employees left trash everywhere (front and back yards, spilled paint) I observed that unprofessional, substandard work was being performed and advised Mr. Gomez of this over the phone on several occasions. Mr. Gomez stated that all concerns would be taken care of and fixed. 08/23/13 On Friday afternoon, Gomez called me at work several times during the day to inform me on the status of the job. At approximately 3:30 p.m., Gomez called to advise that he and his crew had completed work on the outside of the residence as agreed upon and they would be back on Monday to start on the inside of the residence. I arrived home after dark on Friday and was not able to look at completed work. 08/24/13 On Saturday morning, I was able to look at the job that Gomez and his two employees had done. The work was incomplete per contract (back porch & north side concrete stamping left undone). The work that was done was extremely poor with little to no prep, no sanding, no removal of old paint, no sealant and wrong color paint. I called Gomez at approximately 11:30 a.m. and left a message indicating that I was cancelling the job effective immediately due to the poor quality of work and breach of contract. I further advised Gomez via voicemail to pick up his equipment on Monday morning and that I would be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I ended the message by indicating that I wanted the $650.00 that I had fronted him returned for services not completed and for products and services that were not completed. I filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau (Complaint# 99156074). - No response from Gomez. 08/26/13 Mr. Gomez arrived at my residence and made contact with me. Gomez stated that he was not aware of the message that had been left. I pointed out the work that had not been completed (the back porch; concrete stamping on north side of the house). Gomez said he had never agreed to paint that (although I had a written contract indicating that). I further pointed out several pieces of wood that had not been sanded or prepped, pieces of trim that were to be removed and replaced and were not, and areas that were painted without being power sprayed and prepped. Gomez downplayed the discrepancies and said they were "touch ups" that could be fixed. I told Gomez that I wanted the $650.00 that I had fronted him for the paint and rain gutters which had not yet been installed. Gomez agreed, gathered his gear and left. 08/29/30 09:27 hours: I telephoned Gomez on his business cell and asked what the status of his payment was. Gomez became confrontational with me and said he wouldn`t be intimated by me then hung up. 10:06 hours: Gomez then called me back and stated ?he didn`t want any problems? and that ?he had enough already.? Gomez told me that he would have my money by 09/06 or 09/07. 08/30/13 One of Gomez? painters came by my residence to "apologize" for unfinished job and quality of work that had been performed on my residence. A painter by the name of Israel (449-8654) told my mother that he had done poor quality work under the orders of Aaron Gomez. 09/03/13 Gomez called me at 8am and asked if he could come over. Gomez came over at 9am. Gomez did not have my money and again stated that he would have it by Friday (09/06) or Saturday (09/07). Gomez stated that his painter had done bad work on purpose and that he would like to re-do the problem areas of the job in a few weeks. 09/06/13 No contact with Aaron Gomez. 09/07/13 No contact with Aaron Gomez. 09/09/13 Police report generated to document the incident. 10/17/13 My $650 advance money returned to a police detective to return to me. No contact with Gomez. No response to my complaint with the BBB. This guy and his associates are complete unprofessionals. I still cringe when I pull up to my residence and see what he did to it.
Description of Work: AARON GOMEZ (of Gomez Home Improvement or Gomez Brothers Home Improvement @ 915-887-8398) was hired to paint the interior and exterior of my residence. He did such a POOR job on the exterior of my residence, that I fired him so as to save the interior of my home from being destroyed.

Never completed.
Description of Work: Nothing was performed. Estimate was given and a deposit was made and the work was never done. Initially they worked on our two neighbors house for the right price and the neighbors initially seemed happy. Therefore we requested his services. He seemed to want to do the right thing but never came through. A few months ago he said he would do some minor dry wall repair but he never showed. I gave him the benefit of the doubt and called on him once again. He came by gave a fair estimate and took out $150 deposit. We set a date for the repairs and he told me twice to call before the day of service. I called the day prior to the service and he said he would be over the next morning. He didn't show so I called him and he said he would be there in 30 minutes, he never showed after some further research it turns out he was a wanted fugitive for domestic family violence and criminal mischief. After trying to cancel the check it was discovered that our check had been altered and cashed to another person. Our neighbors are now dissatisfied with the quality of work done to their houses. Paint is fading and they are still cleaning up the overpainted portions of their houses. I called and left a message stating we no longer needed his services and wanted our money back.... No response.
