The crew arrived on the day they were scheduled to arrive and they began removing and cleaning brick. I was amazed at how quickly they got this task done, since two contractors said it could take weeks. As they got piles of brick removed and cleaned, other crew members started removing brick from the outside corner of our existing house, so they could start tying into the old brick with new brick, so no one know the house had ever ended at that corner. It rained two days during the process and Mr. Navarro brought two guys over just to clean brick in a sheltered area. They were finished within 4 days and it looks fantastic. No one can tell where our original structure ends and the new begins.
Description of Work: We were adding on to our house and we needed someone who could remove two walls of existing brick off the exterior of our home where we were adding on, and move that brick to the new exterior walls we were building. Our brick work has custom designs and patterns and we needed those same patterns to continue seamlessly from the old part of the house to the new addition, so no one could tell it was an add-on. Our brick was no longer available to purchase, that's why we needed existing bring removed, chiseled and cleaned so it could be reused. Additionally, we needed to find a brick similar to our original, that could be blended in with our reclaimed brick so that we would have enough. We interviewed with four masonry contractors. Two of the four wanted to charge an enormous amount because of the labor intensive job of removing and cleaning existing brick. One contractor was competitive in price but didn't seem confident that he could tie into the existing brick and make it match up exactly. Mr. Navarro was not the least expensive bid, but was very confident that his crew could do the brick removal, brick clean-up, and tie into the existing brick in such a way that no one would ever know there was an add-on. He did such an amazing job that I paid him more than his estimate. His work was perfection.
