Andre is a nice guy, but is terrible at his job. I feel bad because I did really like him. Initially he quoted me for all the work to be done, and we both agreed on it, however, after multiple days of work, it was evident the job quality was poor. First, he used a spray gun to paint the cabinets and doors, which is fine, however, he got paint all over areas that were not supposed to be painted. Next, his tile work in one bathroom was very uneven, and already moving when stepped on with the grout already cracking. I told him about this and he told me grout sealer would fix it (which even I as a non professional, knows this is not the case but really the tile needs to be removed as the mortar was uneven). Next, in the kitchen the backsplash is all kinds of uneven and looks terrible. Also, he did not grout some places and cut too big of an area for the outlets that the outlet cover does not hide the hole. On the last day of his work, I told him I need the outlets fixed right and he also missed one whole side of the kitchen cabinets which i told him i need that painted as well. Well ultimately he did not do it. To my regret, I paid him and he said he would come back to finish up as there were so many things that needed to be fixed (in addition to many other things he left grout all over the tiles in the bathroom and did not wipe them off while wet so now they are dried and look awful), but now he has ghosted me for about 3 weeks. I assume he just gave up. I have contacted him multiple times, but now that he is paid he is long gone. Oh lastly, I have marble countertops in the bathrooms and things were placed on them with no regard leaving large amounts of scratches. I ultimately would have rather not done any of this remodeling over what was done. He left more of a mess for me to fix than just leaving it alone. Please do not hire this guy unless you want a headache and added stress.
