We called D and S Plumbing who stopped by later that afternoon to take a look. The technician told us that we needed to purchase a conversion kit for our dryer to change it to accept propane instead of natural gas. We bought one off Amazon for $25.
A few days later the kit arrived, and he came back to run a new gas line to the laundry room and to convert the dryer.
I wish we'd gotten an estimate beforehand as I was surprised at the price, although I didn't think it was unreasonable. I just should have asked first haha.
We were grateful for his promptness in returning our call and his service availability.
A friend gave me the company's name. Said he did good work. I called and he was able to come out the same day.
He gathered the information on the type of faucet over the phone to ensure he would bring the correct parts.
Gave me cost for worst case over the phone.
Turned out to only need new washers. He replaced the washer in the backyard faucet as well to ensure it would not have the same problem. Also fixed the horrible noise that both faucets had when turned on low.
Explained how the frost proof faucet worked help me understand the way it worked.
Honest plumber that charges you for only what was actually wrong. Others could have completely replaced the faucet.
