I will leave my original statement as is, however after some time I have changed my mind. I am still upset a service fee was never discussed during our conversations and the mix up on the time, however I do recognize they two men did come to my house which took time and fuel, they were also extremely friendly.
Last night I received my water bill and it was exceptionally high. I called yesterday (12/2) evening to get a guy out to my property to check for leaks. The gentleman gave me a time frame from 8AM-10AM on 12/3. Awesome, however about 9AM I had a feeling something was awry, I figured 8AM would be the first service of the day and they would have been out by then. I called the office and they didn't have me down. Thankfully Brandi was able to get me in within the time frame the gentleman had given me as I had taken off of work and really didn't want to wait all day. They guys showed up and determined the leak was in the yard gave me a quote and went on their way to be back later to finish the job. More great news. My boyfriend who had been there decided he would dig up the line himself to save at least the digging labor cost. When he saw the leak and that he was able to fix it, he did. THIS IS WHERE THE ISSUE COMES IN. When we called and canceled the work they let us know there was a $150 service call fee. This was NEVER mentioned to be when I booked on 12/2 in the evening, nor was it mentioned when I called back at 9AM, nor when they were out to the property. It seems shady that there is all of a sudden this 'service fee' once we were able to fix the leak ourselves. Obviously I will have to pay it but it would have been nice to know the THREE times when I spoke with representatives at the business. Will not use again for their business practices are not transparent or forthcoming. This service fee is also not listed anywhere on the website.
in the bath tub, not just leaking but running like it was filling the tub. the first plumbing company came out saturday twice
to try to fix the problem and ended up telling us that the new faucet fixture was defective. He stopped answering our
calls. Since they were the plumbers that installed the new fixtures we deferred back to them. When he stopped answering my calls.
We started on Angie's List for plumbers. THANK GOODNESS for CURLY"S! They were available and told us not to
worry that they would be out to fix the problem. They were polite and did a temp fix that unfortunately did not hold, so they
came back out and tried another temp fix. That did not hold. unfortunately we had to shut the water off. We talked with them
and They came back out on Mon. They were able to fix the problem and it was not the faucet itself but the way it was installed
by the first plumber. They fixed it promptly and did minimal damage to the tile surround on the tub. I would definitely call
Curly's again for my plumbing needs!
When he arrived he quickly found that we had a leak in the wall behind our dishwasher. He cut a hole in the Sheetrock precisely where the leak was, very happy he knew what he was doing and did not have to cut more holes to find the leak. I cannot say enough about how pleased we were with his work. Evan was courteous, polite and very professional. The pipe was repaired very quickly and he reinstalled our dishwasher and cleaned up after he finished the work.
We will definitely use Curly's Big Blade Rooter next time we need a plumber and would be happy to have Evan come do the work for us.
