He was timely, professional and incredibly honest about the repair as temporary, but urged me to schedule an expeditious return to complete the work. The gentleman had 35 years experience and offered to wear a mask. Consummate professional and gentleman! Call Big Blade if you want upfront pricing and honesty. They are really ALL THAT and then some! fortworthwoman

Have used them before tons of times but the last couple of times there have been red flags. Charges when there shouldn't have been. Save yourself the headache and call someone else.

My drains stopped up all of a sudden. I called Curly's and they were able to send a 2-man crew within about an hour. The guys were nice and actually resolved my problem within 30 minutes.

I had called our usual plumber to clear a clogged kitchen sink. They came out and were unable to do it, so they suggested we call Curly's because they had a longer snake. I called and Curly's showed up in no time flat. The drain wasn't easy to clear but they did it. Haven't had any problems since. They did forget to cover one of the clean out pipes which caused the drain to make some weird sounds, but no big deal. Just went out there and screwed it on and things have been fine. The guys were friendly, and I felt the price was fair. Not the lowest but far from the highest.

Great! Kelly was very knowledgable and cleared two clogs, one in the sewer line and one under the house which I was not aware of. Efficient ,helpful and very reasonable. I will definitely use them again and recommend them to others.

Scheduled ahead of time with three hour window. Showed up promptly. The master tub valve had stopped allowing hot water flow. They were able to determine that there was plastic in the line that got caught in the valve. They tried everything to get it out. They really worked hard and in the end what they finally got out was a large piece of plastic that they identified as a part of the hot water dip tube. This was from a hot water heater that blew up some time ago which I had replaced. After getting it out they cleaned up and left. Two hours labor at $150/hour. That seems reasonable to me. I had received a Val Pack coupon which they took towards the bill. This is the second time I used them and have been happy both times.

I called mid afternoon after realizing the kitchen sink was backed up. They showed up within an hour, were polite and professional and very quick with their work. They made all repairs and went on their way. They're not the least expensive but they certainly weren't out of line on pricing. All in all it was a fair price for what they did. I will certainly use them again. Work was done by Jon and Anthony

I will leave my original statement as is, however after some time I have changed my mind. I am still upset a service fee was never discussed during our conversations and the mix up on the time, however I do recognize they two men did come to my house which took time and fuel, they were also extremely friendly.

Last night I received my water bill and it was exceptionally high. I called yesterday (12/2) evening to get a guy out to my property to check for leaks. The gentleman gave me a time frame from 8AM-10AM on 12/3. Awesome, however about 9AM I had a feeling something was awry, I figured 8AM would be the first service of the day and they would have been out by then. I called the office and they didn't have me down. Thankfully Brandi was able to get me in within the time frame the gentleman had given me as I had taken off of work and really didn't want to wait all day. They guys showed up and determined the leak was in the yard gave me a quote and went on their way to be back later to finish the job. More great news. My boyfriend who had been there decided he would dig up the line himself to save at least the digging labor cost. When he saw the leak and that he was able to fix it, he did.  THIS IS WHERE THE ISSUE COMES IN. When we called and canceled the work they let us know there was a $150 service call fee. This was NEVER mentioned to be when I booked on 12/2 in the evening, nor was it mentioned when I called back at 9AM, nor when they were out to the property. It seems shady that there is all of a sudden this 'service fee' once we were able to fix the leak ourselves. Obviously I will have to pay it but it would have been nice to know the THREE times when I spoke with representatives at the business. Will not use again for their business practices are not transparent or forthcoming. This service fee is also not listed anywhere on the website.

They have been rock solid. We had used another company that supposedly came out and cleared the lines, and said that we shouldn't have any problems again, but we need to replace the line all the way to the line that comes to the city, and 3 weeks later the line backed up again. We called Curly who came out, and they ran multiple blades down the line, and came back up with all kinds of roots that had grown into the drainage line. They offered us different things that weren't going to be a $20,000 cost, such as yearly maintenance, and 6 months to run another blade and pull things out. They said they would come back every year after that. I thought the price was relative inexpensive for the amount of the work and time they spent here. They were here for about 3 hours working on it, and charged just $67. They were all very nice, clean, and well dressed. They were extremely responsive. They were very punctual, they were here when they said they would be here.

Two plumbers came out and tried to figure out what the first plumbers had done. the faucet was constantly running
in the bath tub, not just leaking but running like it was filling the tub. the first plumbing company came out saturday twice
to try to fix the problem and ended up telling us that the new faucet fixture was defective. He stopped answering our
calls. Since they were the plumbers that installed the new fixtures we deferred back to them. When he stopped answering my calls.
We started on Angie's List for plumbers. THANK GOODNESS for CURLY"S! They were available and told us not to
worry that they would be out to fix the problem. They were polite and did a temp fix that unfortunately did not hold, so they
came back out and tried another temp fix. That did not hold. unfortunately we had to shut the water off. We talked with them
and They came back out on Mon. They were able to fix the problem and it was not the faucet itself but the way it was installed
by the first plumber. They fixed it promptly and did minimal damage to the tile surround on the tub. I would definitely call
Curly's again for my plumbing needs!

I really, really hated to call them ... it was one of the coldest days of the year ... and a Monday morning! But I had no choice ... our toilets were clogged. Curly called me back (I think even before 7:30) and said they would be out that morning -- hopefully before noon -- regardless of the horrible weather. Bob and Joe came about 10:30 and checked to see if we had a clean-out vent in the back. Of course, we did not. The only one we had went from the house to the city sewer hookup and he needed one that went to the house's plumbing. So they had to do all the work from the roof of the house down a small vent pipe (in the cold weather). They did a great job of rooting it out ... didn't take long ... an hour or so. Bob and Joe did a great job and we were so grateful that they came so quickly. We received a 30-day warranty. We did have another problem a week later and they again came out in the cold and rooted some more ... since then, plumbing has worked great (but i still get anxious every cold spell we have)! I plan to have them come out when weather warms up and use the camera to check out the whole system of pipes (house was built in the 60s, I think) to see what needs to be done to keep it from happening in the future.

They showed up within a reasonable time and everyone was very nice and courteous. They had all of the equipment needed for the job on their truck and worked until the problem was solved. Would definitely do business with them again.

I was referred to Curly's from a friend of mine who had a good experience with them.  It is very hard to find someone with a good plumbing experience so I gave them a call.  I talked with Curly about my exterior faucets that were difficult to turn off.  We discussed several options including repairing the current faucets, replacing them with the same style or replacing with frost-free versions.  Curly was very thorough with the description of each option and that he would send out his guy with the most experience with exterior faucets so we could get an on-site opinion. I had scheduled on a Friday afternoon but the day before I had to call because I was not going to be available and he offered Saturday! A plumber with no extra charge on a Saturday! The guys showed up late but I received several calls updating me with their status.  I understand every job is different and you have to be somewhat flexible on timing when working with service companies. We discussed the options and I chose to replace the faucets with the same style based on their recommendation and cost.  While they were there I also had them look at a hot water heater valve that leaked when I shut it off.  They took a close look at everything and gave me a cost on the spot. I agreed and they left to get the parts.  They were back and completed the work within 3 hours of when they showed up (exactly the amount of time that Curly had estimated over the phone). It was an excellent experience!  Their price was almost $200 cheaper than another bid I received from a company where I am one of their "preferred" customers with a maintenance plan that I pay for.

We had a leak under our dishwasher and thought that was the problem but even after cutting the water off to the dishwasher it kept leaking. I called Curly's Big Blade Rooter and was told they would send someone out. When the plumber that was to help us was delayed on the job before us Curly called another plumber so we wouldn't have to wait any longer. Evan called to let us know he was on the way and when he would arrive.
When he arrived he quickly found that we had a leak in the wall behind our dishwasher. He cut a hole in the Sheetrock precisely where the leak was, very happy he knew what he was doing and did not have to cut more holes to find the leak. I cannot say enough about how pleased we were with his work. Evan was courteous, polite and very professional. The pipe was repaired very quickly and he reinstalled our dishwasher and cleaned up after he finished the work.
We will definitely use Curly's Big Blade Rooter next time we need a plumber and would be happy to have Evan come do the work for us.

We had a plumbing leak. Was stressed over locating a good plumber who would not charge an outrageous amount. Found Curly's through an internet search. Reviews through Yelp and Angie's List were good. Called and talked to Curly. He sent someone out that night. They were there within about an hour. Everyone was REALLY nice and polite. Really seemed to care about my problem. The plumber took the time to thoroughly explain the problem and tell us what they would do to repair it. They offered to fix it that night or to come back the next morning to save us money. We opted to save money. Once they started, they found that the problem was more extensive that they originally though. They worked hard and repaired our problem. Even with the unexpected, they were finished in less time than they orignally estimated AND that included having to make a run to get some unexpected supplies. I am rextremely happy to have found them. I feel very comfortable saying that I have found my plumber for life.
