I contracted with Texas No Slip to apply nonslip grit and sealer to my swimming pool deck. The grit was not uniformly applied causing the deck to have an uneven appearance. Acrylic sealer was applied over the existing water-based sealer which is not an industry recommended process. The Concrete Network states, “In general, putting a solvent-based sealer on top of a water-based sealer is a bad idea. The solvent can eat and soften the existing water-based sealer, destroying both coatings”. Texas No Slip has repeatedly asked me what they need to do to correct the issues. Several attempts to resolve the issue have made the problem worse. They have suggested some solutions, but will not guarantee that they can correct the problems.
