We love him. He does excellent work.

I attempted to remove the cartridge myself and was unable to. It was a more involved process, given that the two rubber gaskets had somehow separated from the cartridge and wedged into the water lines. Mr. Mims took his time and was very thorough, making sure he had every single piece of the rubber gaskets extracted before installing the new cartridge. I couldn't be more pleased with his work and clean up after the job was complete.

This guy's excellent. It's a one man company. His wife takes the phone calls. He's reasonably looking. He works out of Boerne. He's really good. When you come in and you only have a limited piece of work and he still has his minimum. He's got a minimum charge that you pay to have him come. So, he will run around trying to fix some other things just to make sure. Can I check the area in your faucets, so that I feel that you're getting the entire of benefit out of me? He's really good as far as picking your brain for anything else, not to charge you extra, but to make sure that the work he does is at least with $75 that you're going to pay to have the work done. He's also repaired the main water line coming into my house from outside where he had to dig up to find the leak. He charged me 40 % of what it cost me with the other company that I was disappointed with.

Excellent work. Minimal drywall damage. Done in less than 3hr. Emergency fit in schedule, prevented water damage. Trustworthy.

He came out, did the job very quickly and efficiently, and got it fixed. What stood out is his professionalism. He came in, he looked at it, described what he was doing, and allowed me to watch him. He told me what was wrong. It was very good.

Steve arrived around 11:05; we were given a window of 11-12. He quickly took care of the problems. Steve has been our plumber for about 12 years (also worked on my husband's parents and his sister's issues). We highly recommend him.

Removal of old faucet and installation of my new dream faucet, along with the under-counter water filter with spout went exceptionally well. Steve was very friendly and professional and did an incredible job of getting everything installed perfectly and in a timely fashion. He had to come back the next day to check on a small leak in the hot water supply line. Turns out it's the supply line from the faucet to the hot water outlet, and I had to get a new one from the manufacturer. II called Mims back when it came it and he was here the same week. Everything's all hooked up and working great!

I called on a SATURDAY to inquire about pricing. Linda provided that information to me and was extremely helpful. She coached me on handling the warranty call to GE. We scheduled our appointment and her husband was here 4 days later. He arrived on time. He did what he said he would do. In fact, when our local home improvement store was confused about the warranty process for a water heater, he remained very patient. They wanted our old water heater, which was different from his previous experiences; however, he was ready and willing to do that. He installed the water heater and did more than we had initially agreed upon to do so (i.e. returning our old water heater). His final bill was on target with the initial verbal quote.

I have used Steve Mims exclusively since 1993. He has performed a variety of jobs over the years outstandingly. I will use no other plumber.

The latest work was the usual excellent experience from beginning to end. Steve's dispatcher is very pleasant. When I called, she set up the appointment on the spot for a few days later. Steve showed up on time and the work was done in short order. I had not asked for an estimate, but felt his charge was very reasonable for the work performed.

I bought some of the fixtures myself before I had called the plumber. He could use some of the fixtures while he couldn't use some of the others, so the cost was kind of a mixed bag. I liked him, and I would use him again. He was a very nice man.

It went well. The work took three visits to complete due to other commitments, but that was ok with us.

I couldn't figure out how to get it tightened up. I found him on Angie's List. He came out and took care of it. It didn't take very long, and he asked me if there was anything else that I needed done. There was a service charge and he wanted me to get my money's worth, but I didn't have anything else for him to do, but he asked. I thought that was wonderful. He was very good and very typical.
